Flash Contests

In addition to the monthly Newgrounds contest and sponsorships from various sites, there are a growing number of ways for Flash artists to make money! Entering the following contests involves promoting these particular sites in your Flash submissions, which are then submitted to Newgrounds for massive exposure and publicity.

Armor Games is running a contest for game developers, where the best games have the potential to win big cash prizes!

MochiLand is running a contest for funny Flash movies, with great cash prizes as well!

Right here on NG, we are having a contest for Pico Day 2006, where you can win big money by making a Pico-themed game or movie!

Please note the rules of these contests, which require original characters and music (rather than copyrighted characters and music which you do not have permission to use). Pico is the exception for Pico Day, though. :)

Wow, thanks A LOT for the frontpage plug Tom :) Nice suprise, I'm sure Jameson is happy as well, I'm making a pico day entry or two myself (since I'm a big fan) and I'm kinda in charge of the AGC3.

ArmorGames is the only one that I know which has tons of contests; probaly because Inglor is always so nice to share it with us. Hehe. :)

And what about the characters from the whole Pico series? Like his friends, the uber kids, the teacher. I've already seen some people with some really nice designs of them.
But I asume everything which is related in the Pico serie is allowed to being used.

So, what about the monthly contests? People win all the time using copyright music and characters. What makes those the exception?
