Neat. I thought you were about to post the picture where Bill Gates and some other microsoft dude were up on a stage, presenting the (at that time) new Windows XP on some gigantic bigscreen, and it suddenly hit a blue screen of death right there in front of hundreds of reporters.
Its always the same with microsoft :)

No you don't. You know how far back you'd have to sit from it to even see everything? Smaller TV sitting at a shorter distance, same effect.

Did that actually happen?

We had a local weather station on our cable, but it never worked. There was always some error message on the screen, and sometimes, it had already shut down the offending program and showed the desktop. Unfortunately, there was nothing interesting there, except that I was surprised they were still running Windows NT 4. We called it the "Windows error of the day" channel.

That must be something similar amongst a bunch of different local weather stations...either that, or you live in an area that I've been in, one of the two.
The only thing that would have made that error better, is a video of some poor bastard trying to get things back up and running...I'm sure that error was only one in a string of 'em...the old Windows syndrome, one piece fails, the rest of the shit is about to follow. Better than Macintosh (Machine Always Crashes, If Not, The Operating System Fails).
And pls no one shoot me for the tired lame Mac blast.

Both my weather channel and my local community station both run on 98 and have frequent crashes. I got high once and watched the guy try to fuck around and troubleshoot.

Eh, that's nothing. Seriously, it happens to large outdoor screens all the time.
There's one around the corner from my house, I'll go take a picture for proof. It got stuck on the Blue Screen of Death for about 4 days 2 months ago.
Sadly.
I did not take a picture.

that is lame >:(
but meh, I’ve seen so many internet slang related street and store names last year and never took a picture of those =/
I would of thought a company that has a billboard as big as that would be able to avoid getting big errors like that.

My point for not "rushing hone and grabbing my camera for hacks." Plus, after the third day, I was like, well, i got to take a picture now, and of course, it's fixed when i come back.
