Has anybody had this problem with their ps2: When you put a game disk in, it starts to read the dvd and then after 5 seconds there is a loud click followed by several small clicks, and then this process repeats again before you get a disk read error. I checked techTV and gamefaqs, and a faq mentioned the LOUD click but I couldn't find anything else. I can't figure out what's wrong with it, and I doubt I can send it back to sony considering the warrantee sticker is long gone (no mods).

well do you have to new slim ps2?
it could be the fact that the new slim ones dont come with internal fan to cool the system down like the older fatter models, but that really has nothing to do with the clicking sounds maybe the lazer is slighty skewed and not reading it right,or could be jesus hating on you for having a ps2 and him not having one
If you dont stand for something, you'll fall for anything

Open the PS2 and clean off the lens.
Search "disc read error" and "ps2" and something along the lines of cleaning in google.

That happened every year or so to mine, time to get a new one (doubt they will still fix it).
Ever wonder if your mom kissed you goodnight after she gave your dad a blowjob? Well, you do now.
