Moderator

I am aware that this idea, especially recently has been kicking around, but I think we should seriously address it here. I think these forums should have a moderator and a set of rules. With the increase of popularity of this board there has been an increase in irrelevant(as in should be posted in the general forum) or pointless(as in "ghey ppl r sik!). Therefore I think this place, to facilitate open and real debate needs a moderator and rules.

And if it should be anyone I think it should be P-Chan or Freakapotimus. A) They've both been here a long time, B) they're mature and respected, C) I find them impartial.

I would also like to point out that if rules were pulled up, I do not think we should stop racist comments, I think offensive words should be partially censored, but I do not think we should delete posts that are racist as it violates freedom of speech.

I agree with you on everything except your freedom of speech thing. If the owners of this site don't want certain things to be said, then tough, make your own website. I don't think this is the right place to start that argument. I think moderating out all the stupid "Gey peepl suk" topics would have a positive effect.

If you want to have a moderator, then the forum needs to be sort of "democratic republic" type deal, the people have the voice, but someone just needs to enforce it.

I don't have a problem with moderation as long as people aren't banned for having stupid ideas. Claimus might have stupid arguments sometimes, but I would be quite upset if he was banned for using them.

I see your point on this issue however I believe than implamenting moderators would infringe on peoples' freedom of speech because what seeem relavent to one person may seem irrelavent to another so I think a mediator my be a bad idea in some senses

Agreed. Andrea for mod. There should be mods in the general forum too, that is , if wade is going to stick with his spam crack down. The general forum was nothing but spam within a week after the "crackdown". Althougn how will he enforce such policies without looking fascist? Anyway, back to the intended topic.
