Ted, This is my experience in life. It's sad but true.
A white man writes a song about shooting blacks. He is instantly labeled racist.
A black man writes a song about "killing whitey". He is just expressing himself.

I am white, and damn proud of it. I am proud of my heritage and my people's accomplishments. Does this make me racist? Some people seem to think so. Yet I have never met a black man who does not display this same pride for his cultrue and heritage.

I am sick and tired of whites being demonized by the media and scociety. One of my best friends was killed recently. Why? He was white and rich. Black racists jumped him (6 "brave" gangsters on him) and tied him up. Then he was robbed and shot. He was mentioned in the obituaries, and there was no mention to the race of his killers or that it was a hate crime.
Last week a black man was beaten (But not killed) by some skinheads. It was on the front page, With a headline of "NAZI HATE CRIME"

See what I mean?

O. J. Is guilty. The court verdict? They did not say he is innocent, they simply said that they did not have 100 % of the evidence needed for the penalty that was sought. Not only that but in the civil trial he was found responsible for the deaths and therefor made to pay. It’s not a race thing with me........ I also think that the other actor dick head that is on trial for shooting his wife in the parking lot of that restaurant while he was “getting his gun” is guilty too.

Personally racism sickens me because it is the product of a class system. It is a tool for making the lower classes recognizing their minor differences rather than noticing that they have the same plights, getting together, and taking on the ruling class,

I don't know, percentage wise it is pretty even for me. Yeah more white people have been assholes to me than black people in my life, but I've also MET more white people. Percentage-wise, I've met an equal number of walking piles of human fecal matter in every race of humanity. Just goes to show you, no matter the color the shit, you always seem to find that annoying piece of corn.

Let's just agree there are racist assholes in every race.

Of course not. Whoever labels a race as racist is a racist too, so it's kinda ironic to complain that a whole race is racist, when you are too by saying that. Again, like what I said in my other post, there's some of us that totally ruin it for the others. There's those asses in every race, just like there's always a few rotten apples in every orchard - it's next to impossible to find all the racist and try to change them.

Yeah, see, racism in the first place in the world was definitely a very wrong direction to take. However, when we try to go back onto the right one, we end up in another one. It's great that racism has decreased against the Africans - it's not gone, but it's much lower than it was a few decades ago. However, some of us just don't get it that when we turn against white (or asian) people, it still makes it worse - two wrongs don't make it right here. If popular people on TV make fun of white or asian folks, they get laughs, most of the time, but when they make fun of black people, they may never get their career back again. I'm not saying: "make fun of black people too, to make it even", but I'm saying stop making fun of others, it's not better than making fun of black people, all races should be even.

So I feel sorry for black males who get it harder than the rest in your neighborhood, and probably in many other places too. Well, I guess my area is totally unique, because yellow people are picked on more than black people here. Well, I can imagine how bad it is in many other areas. Maybe there are less people racist to yellow guys than the ones racist to black guys. Well, then I just hope it gets better where you live in.

But really, there are no minorities on the internet. Sure, you will probably encounter more whites if you log onto a Canadian chat room, but people from all races and locations log onto the internet, so you could encounter anyone.

I could tell you I'm an Asian with two black parents and you would have no reason to disbelieve me.
There really are no races on the internet unless someone wants there to be. And I really don't see why anyone would want to create divisions, when we're trying to get toal equality.

Sadly people dont see things as clearly as your or I. They may have been brought up that way and that may be the only think they know.

Sorry, but I have a huge rant about race-

I don't care who you are. I don't care what race you are. But I guarantee that you have been set at unease because of racial issues at one point or another.

Why is this, exactly? I don't know, but follow me on this scenario.

You're white (You might not be, but follow me. Just insert your own race in if you want.)

You're growing up in a town chock-full of white (whatever) folks. You're raised to respect everyone regardless of race, and treat them equally. There are no other members of your race in this town, nor do they attend your school.

Now-
One day, a black family moves to town. Their son or daughter goes to your school. He or she is in your classes, and you see he or she often.

So what happens when he or she sits down at your table? Don't you feel the least bit uncomfortable? Don't you feel that you suddenly must watch your speech very closely, sometimes? Why?

They're black. There's just a natural uncomfortability that stems from someone of a different color, (that is, until you get to know them) and usually I can't understand it (there's always people you'll always be uncomfortable around, and that transcends racial borders).

It's wierd. You just feel less comfortable around someone of a different race, because no matter how they were raised, there's an entirely different culture there. It doesn't matter if they were raised in the exact same environment you were.

Another important point that was made was the effect that the media has on racial perceptions. The rapper culture isn't helping race relations, because let's face it...

Whitey don't wanna be killed/capped/popped etc.

They way rappers portray themselves on TV only encourages ways to act that would be scoffed by other members of other cultures.

For example:

If you walk into the office of any Ivy-League college and say something along the lines of "What's all up in the hiz-ouse?", Honor roll and 1500 SAT's or not, you aren't getting in. It's a portrayal of ignorance, and whether these people are stupid or not is irrelevant. Their portrayal of said ignorance adds friction among "white?" culture, and they think it's racist when they don't get hired, recieve blank stares, etc.

Sorry. I don't care what race you are. If I want to hire somebody to fill a position, and you spell your words by removing "er" and adding an "a" (i.e. player/playa)or even worse, doing said letter replacement in plural form and instead add a "z" (i.e. players/playaz), you won't get the job (unless you are supposed to be "cool", like a dj, or mtv vj or whatever). White, black, green, purple. It doesn't matter- stupidity transcends race.

The problem here is that you need "cool" icons to start using "real" words in the media, and you need more people to embrace racial harmony. I'm white. I know that I look like a pompous asshole, but I can deal with that, because I'm going to say this:

Stop bitching about color. If everyone stops caring about this pointless crap, color cares will fade away. This is for all races.

Little old white lady- Only lead your children away from people who look like they rap. If they wanna dress like cop-killers, let them deal with it. But the black teen wearing something any other teen would doesn't deserve your bullshit, and black people are just like white people (contrary to what your brother/husband has said).

I don't, and B.)I don't want to be associated with those who do, regardless of how fucking "cool" (Remember, exaggeration... pretend it's in the South.) it may percieved to be. So stop bitching when white people run from you. If your media icons want to be known for it, think about following different icons.

Racial profiling exists for a reason. Lots and lots of people fit it. Chances are the white guy in the suit has a job at the office/bank/stock market. Chances are the guy in the man of latin descent wearing black dickies, a wife beater, stompin' boots, and a beanie just might be a gang member. That's all you need. Reasonable doubt. I know, it's wrong to assume these things, and it hurts when they aren't true (I'm Irish- not all Irishmen are pathetic losers who are drunk all of the time... although I am.), but I don't know one person out there who wouldn't risk their lives/wallets/etc., just to not hurt someone's feelings.

So, on behalf of everyone who was terrified of you for dressing a certain way, or for having a certain skin color, I apologize.

I also apologize for taking up all this space. If I've offended anyone, I'm sorry. These are my views on race, and I don't see the point in hating someone based on where they grew up, what color their skin is, etc.
