Us Port Security And The Uae.

In recent news, there has been reports about the Department of Homeland Security trying to outsource control of six US ports over to a firm owned by the United Arab Emirates. There has been quite some outrage over this deal (even from a lot of congressional leaders), because many have considered that the UAE is a haven for terrorism. Would this not outrage you too? I think it does.

I can imagine a political cartoon coming out showing an Al-Qaeda terrorist with an AK-47 rifle and bombs strapped guarding a port in the US, with the main title saying "Homeland Security".

From what it sounds like, there's significant opposition from both parties in Congress.
So hopefully Bush will overturn it or dump the deal completely.......
