The Deadly H5N1 strain of bird flu is nearing the UK, day by day a few days ago. it was discovered to be in germany and france. but what would happen if a bird flu pandemic became in the UK or The USA or anywhere on the globe.?

I image about 20% of the country would die. Unless I'm sorely misinformed, there is no effective vaccine available in mass-production.

Bush would throw billions of dollars at some pharmaceutical company that happens to have ties to the GOP, the threat would pass, the company would never create an effective drug, and nobody would realize what happened. Cite: the fabled anthrax vaccine.

The virus as it is is not particularly dangerous. I mean, it's technically very deadly, and already a pandemic, but it needs to get into the food supply to become truly dangerous I would think. And heck, that's quite possible, who knows.

Every year we get a new bullshit plague that the media hypes up as the end of the world and then it just disapears. I'm getting tired of it. Mad Cow, Saars, West NiIle, Killer Bees, theres probably plenty more.
