Víctor Jara. Anybody who didn't get beaten to an inch of his life by the government, then fusilated and left for dead in the countryside is a poser.

Ha-ha, taking the punk attitude? Wait, punk doesn't exist in this era. Just whiney wash downs of the same tired crap.
Much like most of the bands you like, God only knows AC/DC's a perfect romodel for tired old crap. Ever hear one AC/DC song? Good you've heard them all!
You just did what he did and bashed the music he liked... Good job.

the Dead Kennedys were pretty political in their day. Jello Biafra even ran for Governor of California and got a pretty good chunk of the vote.

Wheres the logic in that? "Hey, let's create more complications!" Good idea.
As for bands, I agree with the Doc, Jello is the shit...

He only made one anti war song that I am aware of. Hell, he was even in the Army even though he was a terrible soldier.
Not sure I understand but he is still awesome.

Alot of bands have atleast one political tunes, but I like Black Sabbaths War Pigs.
Injured Workers rights were taken away in the 1920's by an insurance company (WCB), it's high time we got them back.

I feel that he was a big part of the hippy era, as well as one of the first black rock stars. Maybe he wasn't heavily politicaly motivated but I think he was none the less influential.

Burzum pushed metal aesthetically, but also artistically; he actually took on the challenging and unspoken issues of our time:
- Ferality versus morality.
- Nationalism versus uniculture.
- Peace/profit versus war/competition.
- Individual spirit versus herd-fear of inadequacy.
