ha ha ha. a noob. and a nooby quote. How amusing, somebody ridiculing someone else because they pose a point that has been made many times before, yet then they go and use one of the oldest, most overused quotes ever used. Hypocritcal,

How does that make Christianity fundamentally flawed? Can you point out exactly where the contradiction lies? Jesus would have regarded himself as a Jew, and no Christian is going to seriously deny Jesus was a Jew
The fundamental difference between Christians and Jews is that Jews are waiting for the Messiah, whereas Christians believe He has already come in the form of Christ.
No contradiction

All beliefs are flawed, except agnosticism because they're the only ones who aren't sure and the others require faith to believe. Well, that's my two cents.

Well, I am a dedicated Athiest (so much that if you refer to my Dimensional Analysis Postulate you will see at what lengths I have gone to come up with a scientific reason for the nonexistence of "God") but I really don't mind if you are religious. It's just that more people have been killed directly and indirectly because of religion and that number is way too high to count. So, religion teaches morals but kills a lot of people in the process because of it's blindning effect on everyone including Athiests.

Umm, in your infallible, new aged, mathematical equation you pioneered because modern ones are inadequate, you misplaced where the brackets are supposed to be. Nice job.

God does exist, it's about the support someone can have(i have) from God. God will always listen to you. And if you think he doesn't answer, you can still believe that all good is coming from god. In one way or another.
And even if God wouldn't exist, and is only a tale, he would still be there for me and for so many other people( 2/3 of the world believes in God, 2 billion CHristians and almost 2 billion muslims) so you can never say He doesn't exist!
its like having an immaginary friend, but then in a more Ratianol way.
And i have another proof for the existance of God, but i wont bother you with that one.

Why is there always that one guy (or even more than one guy) that will go, "omfg relygin iz t3h sux"? It adds nothing to the conversation; then again, it's kind of hard to add anything to this conversation.
Jesus was a Jew; how the fuck does that make Christianity flawed? Christ, according to Christianity, was the Messiah and a man who was supposed to be King of the Jews and the Jewish religion; but he got rejected by other Jews who would not fallow him. He came to expand upon Judaism and teach a kinder message and strike down the Jewish cultural laws which had been elavated to the same level as God's laws. Christians (at least, ones that know about their religion) see Christ as not only the Messiah, King of the Jews and/or the Son of God, but as a prophet who came to expand upon/correct Judaism.

Cause it's half way true. Relgion is good for something and horrible for other things.. and if people wish to only see their own points then "omfg religion sux". Religion is great for building a great community and spirit among people, bonding them closer together. People become calmer knowing where we came from and where we go, no harm in that, although you can't prove the stories.. it is belief that counts. However, using religion to earn money (catholic church in medieval times), to wage war and supress people and remove happyness from their lives is just plain wrong.
Depends on the people using the belief system really.

Uh, his message was one that expanded upon Judaism like other Jewish prophets. Non-jews didn't generally have as much knowledge of Jewish practices as the Jews did. So a Chinese Jesus wouldn't probably have the exact same message or influence that we see today. Jesus wouldn't be the Messiah if he was Chinese, the Messiah is supposed to be a Jew.

Well, the point of my post was that such a statement, even when in it's fully true form, doesn't really add anything to the conversation and generally just causes the thread to decay faster.

If you hope to denounce such a massive religion as Christianity, then you're going to need more evidence than the fact that Jesus grew up and was raised as a Jew. The Old Testament is based off of Jewish beliefs. The difference is that Christianity built off of said Jewish beliefs and added to them. Christianity is not trying to deny that Jesus grew up Jewish. Christianity believes that Jesus was the Son of God and to the Christians it doesn't matter what religion he grew up following, he's still the worshiped Lord of Christians.
So if you want to truly denounce Christianity, for God's sake come up with something better than the fact that Jesus grew up in a Jewish household. I'm not saying I agree or disagree, but for shit's sake at this point it sounds as if you're just hoping to rile up a few Christians.
