Not really. If he headbutts another guy, why should we feel sorry for a moment of madness? It's not like he's Rooney, still in the twilight of his career, he was winning the World Cup when Rooney was barely out of primary school. He should know better.

Zidane is a legend, no matter what he did this afternoon. He is one of the best footballers of all time, he never really acts up, and is a respectable player and plays fair, the italian player said a racial slur that must have really offended Zidane for him to lose his cool like that. It is a shame that is how Zidane ended his career, although his contract with Real Madrid is not up yet, he might continue playing you never know with Zidane, and that asshole player had it coming obviously, Zidane fucked him up.

Well there you have it. The World Cup is over for another year.

And Really no team was all that great. We all expected Brazil to get to final again and win it like always, but it wasn't ment to be. I mean they had the players, Ronaldinho, Kaka, Robinho, this list goes on and on. The just didn't peform as well as they should have done. Its the same with England, we could have brought the cup home if we had just played like we normally do. If we had a good manager then we could have got to the finals easily. I mean If we had just beaten Portugal the Quarter Finals then we could have beat France to get to the finals. And really we could have beat Italy or Germany. Man blame Refferee's for teams to drop out, but for England i blame the manager and most ref's are crap these days anyway, thats nothing new. Just like to say congrats to italy though, they performed so well in the Semi-Finals against the hosts Germany,who were on form. Thats why they got to the final and played France. Well done Italy.

But what was that headbutt all about in the Final? That Italian player must have said something pretty bad to Zidane for him to do that. Zidane was such a great player, im hoping that everyone wont remember him for the headbutt, but for his wonderful career. I would certainly like to know more on this headbutt story anyway.

Zidane is a total badass. come on, he head-butted a guy in the chest during the final game of the World Cup, as well as the final game of his career. i think that his red card was a pretty sweet way to leave the sport. :)

i don't think in the end Zidane's red card made any difference. Neither team looked like scoring at that point and all the French players apart from Trezequet scored their penalties and Trezeguet would have been one of the top 5 penalty takers anyway.

Yeah but you can't say that Trezeguet would of missed had Zidane stayed on, every moment up until the penalties would have been different and he'd have a completely different mind set. Zidane going off put a bit of a negative feel on the French.

If we're talking about what players are Cunts and what players aren't, then Zidane should definetly be included among the Cunts. He's supposed to be a professional, jeers and insults are commonplace on the field. He should have tried to settle things outside the arena (although Materazzi would have fucked him up pretty badly...he's gotten into quite a few fights in Rome and Milan) instead of being a fool and attacking a person in front of hundreds of cameras.
