I managed to see a couple of Brasil and I have to say, there pulling themselves out of the water works now!

i forgot the other matches but i do know 1 Brasil vs. Ghana

FINALLY! Rolonaldo finally shows off his skill. He made a perfect goal against the goalie.

Emerson just got lucky when Cafu crossed it to him and then hit one of the guys foot and then rebounded on Emerson's leg.

But over all, they played a good match and BRASIL OWNS!

Great to see everyone is confident about us getting past France, I'm not so sure myself... Guess it'll depend on whether our coach finally develops some balls and makes sure the starting line up includes Robinho and / or Juninho (with Cicinho or either Gilberto as bonus). If that happens, I'm confident we can take them on (and give them a right thrashing too), otherwise, it's going to be tough (even if France isn't doing so well, since, after all, so are we).

But what about Spain? Poor bastards... I really pity the Spanish in the World Cup; they never, ever get to do well! They seemed cursed / doomed to fail time and time again, which is a shame, since they play some really nice football too (and have had some excellent players throughout the ages). Ah well, one day they'll make it... probably.

Actually it's a matter of changing the English language. It is Football, if you wish to be correct.

Soccer is a stupid made up word. Football is the name of the game son.

Its not you... Brazil is playing just well enough to win but like you said if they play one of the powerhouse teams like Argentina or Germany thy'll have to play great instead of good.

Indeed

I doubt they are going to win.

OK.. So if I call it "Football" will you be happy? Because I feel like putting an end to the whole Soccer-Footbal discussion.

Umm, that was Adriano. Sure was weak, though.

Thanks, we sure have a good chance to. If we get through Argentina this Friday, we're going to take the cup!

they go to Brazil (maybe Bartheze will take out Ronaldo again that would be funny)
and there is a chance they win (confidence can take one far)

ohh and i hope the match between England and Portugal is as entertaining as the one they had in the Europeen cup

Ronaldo scored early because Ghana can't defend, then Ghana put on a lot of pressure, threatening to score a few times, until Adriano bagged a goal late in the first half which was blatantly offside all the time. The rest is history.

Stop talking shit England, this is a battle that can only be solved on the field.

Portugal violent? do i need to say which country ended the career of portugals best player ever by brutaly taking him down? Eusebio wants vengance.

Anyway, i´m in portugal in a internet cafe. Yesterday i bought a huge portuguese flag, i love it. If we win saturday it will be awesome and the semi final will superb. For the first time ever i can whitnes a tournament like this in my own country, it feels great. Needles to say it´s crazy here.

France won...i was like omg. So yeah, surprises are not a new thing. Goodluck to those who still have to play and i´ll see how it goes saturday.

Cheers

I swore they would have thrashed the French.

Not if Brazil plays like they did aginst Ghana.

And besides, Pavel Nedved of The Czech Republic has the best hair in the tourney.

A little fun fact. Did you know that out of the 10 goals that Germany scored, only 2 of them were scored by actual, real Germans?

Lahm and Frings scored those to goals. Both of them were born in Germany.

Klose (4 goals) and Podolski (3 goals) are both polish. Even Neuville (1 goal) wasn't born in Germany.

I'm hoping Germany wins this match, but Brazil will dominate once again.

Brazil's only played completely shit teams so far, ie
australia
Japan

But it'll be interesting against France. I hope brazil wins cause france knocked them out of the 98' and won it

All i've got to say on the matter is...

Sixty Six, was a fix! Who won Euro 96? GERMANY! nananaa! GERMANY! nananaa!

I hope Germany win this game... they deserve to. Plus an England vs Germany final would be probably the biggest game in footballing history as there's no rivalry in the world like that of England and Germany.

Lots of grudge matches on the way too...

Brazil vs France
England Portugal

and possiblities

Brazil vs England
England vs France

It's gonna be great.

Penalty kicks! Even though the first half was downright boring the match really intensified after that goal of Alaya. It's been pretty exciting ever since, and now it's about to reach it's climax.

Indeed, they're both crap at penalites... We (England) took them both to sudden death before they beat us... and we're probably the worlds worse team at penalties.
