And Argentina wins 2-1 and they'll face Germany in their next match.. But let's be honest both teams deserved to win this game they went out played a great game and left it all out on the field and it took one hell of a goal to decide the game. So props to Mexico for giving Argentina one hell of a battle and props to Argentina for winning what was a tough game for them.

Thing was, they both scored in the first 9 min of the game, making the rest of the 81 or so got tiresome. Not sure, but I think Mexico had most ball possesions, but couldn't put it away. Oh well. Congrats Argentina.

Just didn't want the same teams in the 8 standings.

I don't think so.I'm not just saying that because I don't want England to win but Cole's shot sorta look like he mis-hit it.The ball hit the bottom of his shin, not the laces on his boots.That makes me think it was sort of mis-hit.

I also think Gonzalezes goal was better because it was a harder volley.Taken on chest,and the way the ball and position of the player were angled made it a more difficult volley to pull of.With Vole's volley the ball sat up much more nicely.

Omg what a game! Havent seen one like that for a while. God that was intense. Huge kudos to mexico- they went out and played amazing. Both sides were good, but mexico the underdog didnt fucking amazing. Its tough that one side HAD to lose.

Best game. Fast paced. One of the best goals. Went into extra time. What more could you want?

Apart from penalties.

Even if the world cup is far from ending, it has ended for me, my team put it's best effort to try and not lose against the Argentinos, but failed, although, to my acknowledge, Mexico played better than Argentina, but we just had problems when it came to scoring goals.

Oh well, what's done it's done, at least this lost wasn't as terrible as when Portugal defeated us with the same goal difference... Not saying that there is any honor in losing better, though.

There is always next WorldCup... sigh...

My prediction, the semifinals will be: Argentina Vs Italy, Brasil Vs Holland. Victors being Argentina and Brasil... Netherland 3rd place, Brasil 2nd place, and Argentina, 06' World Cup Champion.

Wow what a performance from Mexico. Argentina were a bit dodgy at the back, both for the goal and the time they should have had a defender sent off.

I hope Argentina will beat Germany. It will be a though match.

Great game against Sweden yesterday, the first half we absolutely owned them. Props to Sweden for sticking up like that, even with just 10 players, but they barely ever got in front of our goal.

Argentina will be a tough one (Rodriguez' killer strike is probably going to be the goal of the cup), but seeing the game yesterday, they're really not unbeatable. Mexico was a tough opponent, and so are we.

I believe we can do it.

Hate to say it, but I have a horrible feeling that England are going to lose this match, although not by that sort of margin. Ecuador are a good team, they have a lot to prove, they rested 5 players during their last match, and they're more used to the heat.

Nah I don't see it happening.Although Engurland aren't playing great they have enough indivudal quality that will see them get past Ecuuador.

I think that now since Owen is gone they will just resort to humping long balls up Croach which as we all know ain't gonna win them the world cup.
