A draw will send Korea out. As there's no way France aren't beating Togo by a clear two goals.

Well it would be nice to bet on a tie though, you never know. Remember the game Sweden - Trinidad, if someone bet on a 0-0 tie that game, he would have recieved 1000 times the starting money. So 30 bucks would have resulted in a 29970 euro profit... Man, wish i could turn back the hands of time

The winner get three points, the loser gets no points and if its a draw both countries get one point.

Haha, you think Korea will go for the draw? Think again! In 2002 Portugal VS Korea: a draw would have been enough for both teams to go through but Korea fucked us over. I’m sick and tired of those lucky cunts.

Talk about Swiss precession eh, Togo deserved a draw and the usual blabla.

ACtually if two countries have the same amount of points and they're tied for first, first place is awarded based on goal differential and that's where it really gets confusing.

And when even the amount of goals is the same, they look at results from other matches. I lack the English jargon to explain that.

If teams are equal on points and goal difference then you look at the result between the two teams, the team who won the match would go through. If the match between the two teams was a draw i imagine you would have to have a play-off, but i'm not certain.

I seriously wouldn't say that. I wouldn't put anything past France. I think Switzerland and Korea will go through.

Crikey.

Actually, I think if goal difference is the same and the two teams drew, they'd go on goals scored. I'm not sure though.

Don't lie. They'll have got 10/1 at the start of the match maximum, which would have got progressively shorter in the running.

Was watching the Saudi Arabia - Ukraine game, and yet in the half hours coverage prior to kick off all they seemed to talk about was 1966, michael owen, germans scared to play england in the next round. It all seemed slightly irrelevant really, but well done to Ukraine.

I hope england beat Sweden allowing Trinidad and Tobago a chance of qualifying, Id rather see England Versus Germany next round as well, that fixture would be a thousand times more interesting than England vs Ecuador.

Hooray for Ukraine! The man Sheva scored! I hope they make it through past Tunisia, Sjevtsjenko is awesome.

Btw: Graham Poll was quite a cool ref. laidback, keeping speed in the game. Damn, I’ve seen fouls that refs would have given yellow for that. And he didn’t seem like an asshole due to not giving a second yellow card to a Saudi player for shirt pulling because that is pointless when you are 4-0 behind.

Brazil isn't as fun to watch as they usually are. If they continue like this, they won't win the WC.

They're trying to win a toilet? </joke>

HAHA, get in the there. Seriously 1 good result and everyone says they'll win the WC. Wouldn't suprise me if people start tipping Ukraine for WC glory, although i do think they'll make the quarter finals, they'll probably be playing Switzerland or S.Korea.

Get your priorities straight. Hate them or not I still reckon Spain will come back and win, im hoping the score will remain the same until half time so the Odds on Spain will be that much sweeter.

yeh. When i went to Spain, the people were so arrogant, old people just walk into you on the street. And they racially abused some of our players last time we played, Wankers.

this is why you shouldn't judge teams on 1 game. Caech Republic and Spain had the best opening games and everyone started saying they'll get to the final. In the 2nd game they've both been poor.

Argentina are the obv. team to beat right now, and should have an easy enough path to at least the semis depending on what they do against the Dutch.

I don't think that will be a good match to really test both teams. Since they are both already through they'll spare their top players who have yellow cards and top players with a higher chance of getting an injury.

Spain pwned...poor Tunisi fans thought they were going to win 'till the last 20 minutes of gametime.

Pure awesomeness. You must read it.

WHY THE FUCK IS CARLOS SIMON STILL A REFEREE!

He fucked the last match and he fucked this match. Give me Graham poll any day!

Anyway: Spain SUCKED! Sure they won but would Spain be behind against a team that has the fitness to hold a second half then they would be lost. Proof is the Euro 2004 match against Portugal which they lost 1-0. Seeing them as a fav to win the cup would just be plain ignorance. Spain lacks the creativity to get themselves out of hard situations and when they started shooting long range only it was clear that they where out of ideas. The 1-1 was ok and the 1-2 was bad goalie decision and the 1-3 was bad referee.

As I say: no justice.
