zooming with v-cam 2006-02-15 22:59:47 Reply

most of the time when i zoom in on something with the cam it gets distorted and stretched out of shape. am i the only one with this problem? if not is there a way to prevent it from happening?

if your using Jpeg images are any type of Bitmap then yes it will blur. On the other hand if its a flash Drawn image then no it shouldnt Blur

its a flash drawn image and it doesnt blur it just bends.

like looking through a convex lens or something like that

can you show us an example of the .swf and of the code used to enlarge it. Not the whole V-Cam code just the enlarging part.

I don't think he is refering to it being blurry, but that the movie is stretching out of proportion.
If your movie is distorting by becoming too skinny or stretched, then you may not have your "Scale" option selected in your Free Transform tool. This helps to keep the same proportions while zooming in or out with the v-cam.

i didnt use any code to enlarge anything i just tweened the cam to make it cover a smaller part of the stage to get the zoom.
im guessing this has never happened to u guys so its just probably something wrong with my cam.
but didnt u all use the one from the orielly network?

when you scale the v-cam make sure you are holding shift or it will distort to make everything fit inside.
