I like the new slogan, and the new look as a whole is great. A smooth and elegant shift, without sheding completely the sites heritage. Nice work.

No, we can't have "flash" in our slogan, unless you can spin something off it, like Flash and the extras. because this is no-longer just a flash site. We also have the audio portal.

I agree, I know a lot of folks who steer clear of the site because of its past reputation. I just recently created an account and started submitting, and I've been blown away by the economy (checks and balances/ community feel) of the site (it reminds me of Google's approach...using people's self-interest to promote quality).

I hope the new look and slogan help a wider range of people realize what I've recently come to appreciate.

The buttons are so much more vibrant when they are large.
Shrinking them will reduce interest in individual areas of the site.
Keep up the good work and don't take any advice from 13-16 year old angsty children.

If you could have it as a .php server, and then have a changable slogan. Have a new one every week, or every day.
It could be the top 20 people who submit new icons, and then the best of the 20 get to pick a new slogan that week. Or something like that, so then you can choose a new one every week. And then we could have things such as "Newgrounds - We need no slogan". A lot of work though :(

Great idea! On The Secrets Menu, in-between the Level 8-ish one and the level 30 one (note my use of censorship :P ), we could have a "Make Your Own Slogan" thing, and then a small team could pick the best every week or so - much like the Review Crew Pick of the Day thingy.

Nah, there are 3 main problems with that:

1. We don't have everything yet (I.E. We lack the flashes that will be uploaded tommorrow). You can't have everything when you're going to have more tommorrow (You didn't have everything then). Meaning, if we already have everything, do we need more? (It's like saying NG is already complete, but it's still evolving).

2. Not everyone (I.E. I haven't uploaded anything, then I'm not included on the 'everyone').

3. It's boring, it's like saying "All, by all". And it's too short.

Anyway, no matter what I say, but some posts seem like saying "We know the last one was better, so we must convince ourselves and everybody else, that this one's better".

No doubt the new layout is great, the buttons are immense and the new tank logo from the brand-spanking-new preloaders is eye-wateringly beautiful. I just don't agreeto the new slogan, it doesn't have as much pizzazz (hopes that's a word)...

No, that wouldn't work, there would be 5000+ users sending in slogans. And it's impossible to sort, that is why i chose the new icon artisits thing, so people would be rewarded for helping NG. Not just being a part of it. So the top 20 uploaders of the week gets a change to have a opinion.

But you could have it for, most reviewers of the week, or most b/p of the week?

Well, like I said in the other news thread... the slogan "The Problems of the Future, Today!" seems patheticly rebellish. All by all, Newgrounds is a great community which shouldn't be connected with something bad.

A banner that imply anger or what I'd like to call childish pride over a rant doesn't represent the site which a slogan should do.

And even though the slogan is uncoherent, people won't know. Because what they see is a "cool" site there problems is entertainment. And it really isn't.

Go on with the new slogan, or the slogan you've had in mind "The Talent of the Future, Today!".

However, I think you atleast should keep on going with the new slogan if nothing better comes to mind, and the banner is actually fine as it is, we don't want the buttons too small either. ;-)
