Have i done outdone PX9? He used a far superiour program than me (for dnb music anyway) and mimicing that bass was... don't ask haha.

Yours was good, BUT.

There was nothing but build!
Any second, i could just feel that the big banging drums could just pound with the bassline.
But After a while, i just stopped it.
I couldn't take the constant build an longer.

You need to work on timing more. If you got the timing all right and you got it to flow great, then you would have an amazing remix.

But as for right now, all i can say is...

I see, though i consider the part at 1:50+ to be the focal of the track. I DO suck at dnb beats, FL is crap for such things. But yeah even the main part of the song is a build up.

I am however, still unsure what is better *chews a yummy toffie*... a repetitive loop, or a build up :P

Exactly why Paragon's is better, he actually has breakbeats, which is the second most important element right next to the bass in DnB. You can't have a DnB without breakbeats! Then it can't even be considered a DnB, it will simply be... JB (Just Bass). Which your song kinda was, the bass just completely over powered the drums and drowned them out, but in DnB there is suppose to be a harmonious existance between the drums and bass, neither taking to much attention from the other. Overall your beatwork wasn't quite up to par to DnB level (it might of been, but it was hard to tell since your drums were barely hearable and the panning didn't help, not that the panning was bad, it was good but you just should have made the drums louder) but it was okay and the bass... Just like in a game where you gain exp points for certain abilitys (a rubbish exmaple) my techno/synths/beats completely outscore my breakbeat skills, since i never spend much time on dnb... as in: i never spend time with dnb.

The original is always better, cause usually the original has a certain...atmosphere about it.

And remixing it gets rid of that atmosphere.
If you heard the original, and liked it, then heard a remix, you wouldnt feel the same, thus making you think that the original is better, when music wise, the remix may be better.

No, I'm pretty sure Paragon's would be a lot better either way. The Remix is basically the same song except dumbed down. It took out all the complicated/interesting stuff.
Normally I'm not so critical, but this guy said that his own song could be better than the song he's remixing (which is one of the most downloaded songs in the portal for good reason)?
