I want to put music in my flash, how do i take a certain part of a song and put it where i want in the timeline?

if you just want a part of the song you must cut off the pieces you dont want, i do that with Audacity. Then you have to go to flash to file>import and then open your file, then go to the keyframe you want it to start and in the properties window change sound: none to your song.

Use an audio editing program. Like Audacity or Goldwave

do you mean audacity? you dont need tuts for that. youre 18 years old, just think logic.

iv treid everything all i get is staticky load annoying crap. I import my music file but for some reason it is less then a second long. If i submit it as raw, it sounds like static. Iv never used a program like this before. so if you wouldnt mind telling me how or a place that tells u how i would appreciate it

I had the same problem and someone suggested wavepad to me and it worked like a charm, its really simple to use and I never ran into any problems using it.
