opinions on my first animation pls

Alright, I've become less n00bier everyday, and I've just made my first animation, using the main character to my upcoming project, Future Perfect. It is a simple walking animation, but I think it's a good start, and a good first animation.

Alright, as far as how it was made, it is all key frames, and it is about 80 frames, with a fps of 25. Alright, I think it looks a bit choppy, but I could just add frames inbetween every frame and make little changes to make it less choppy.

Please, I would really like some opinions.

I don't think that looks bad at all. Like you were saying, the walking cycle is a hair choppy, but it's very... um... "robotic" how he steps are very heavy.

I'd say it's a damned good start.

Thats very good for your first animation, but it looks a little clunky and not human, unless he(she) isn't human. maybe make the upper half of him less static, arms moving slightly.

But insane for your first.

Also, maybe next time instead of making a new thread you could post it in the Newgrounds Artist Showcase Thread , it recently just reached a 1000 pages!

Looks great so far, very detailed and its fluent with minor choppy but all flash have some choppy.

compared to other beginners, you rock. The misake most beginners make is to pst theirwork in the portal after an our of work. Take your time and enjoy yourself and we shall enjoy your animation. Good job!

Ok, now I'd like to get some tips. I've seen a lot of ng movies and games, and their animations seem to be a lot smoother then mine. What do they do different then me? Do they use motion tweening a lot, because I did all keyframes, and moved every graphic a little bit to make that animation.

if you are using the same symbols, wich you are, you definatley need to be using motion tween

That's one of the rare things that would work better with tweens.
Now it looks like Terminator in Terminator 1, stopmotionish =D

Firstly, I wouldnt consider yourself a NOOB. A NOOB is a person that would actually submit something like that to Newgrounds in the first place.

Secondly, it looks pretty sweet, maybe the bobbing after each step could be a bit less noticeable. It kinda looks akward, unless your eyes are positioned directly at his head. But overall, its nice. 7/10!
