Ok i have my preloader set up and ready now if i want to make a menu, that u have play movie, scene selection, and credits, do i make my whole movie, then create buttons on a keyframe before it that sort of "link" it to a certain spot on the timeline?
ex. on my timeline, i would have: my preloader in 1 layer, my content in another layer and in the content layer : the menu with the buttons then i have the whole movie incl. credits. i would put stop() after the menu and after the movie and after the credits. Afterwards i would link the buttons to that certain spot on the timeline...
If u can understand what im saying plz reply
thx

The link below has a tute for how to use most of Flash's built in movie control options, with a step by step on how to create a menu.

Should help you a ton.

Here you go.

Not a problem. And if you go to AS:Main, which is linked too in that tute, it goes over damned near anything you'd ever ask a question about, pertaining to actionscript, lol.
