as you guys probably already know, several european newspapers have printed cartoons making fun of muhammed. syria and one other arab nation have destroyed the offending european embassies. however, since these nations are members of nato, the us has the authority to go to war with syria and the other country because of the joint defense clause in the nato agreement. this should be interesting, as one of the us secretaries said that the us will hold any nation who commits an act of war responsible for its actions.
so sometime soon we get to crush syria. happy day.

That would only apply if it was agents of the state who committed those actions acting on behalf of the state. If rioters or mobs of citizens destroy an embassy the host state cannot be held responsible for that.

Riots and mobs protesting a cartoon are slightly different than organized precision acts of war........

Actually, it's not an act of war, since the attack wasn't made by the Syrian and Lebanonese govt., but by rioters. So no war. Period.

both true, but these actions must have taken place with the governments approval, or at least the gov't turning a blind eye towards the embassies going boom.

not the same thing at all. the countries are different sizes(obviuosly) so it is harder for the government to project nonlethal as easily, and the muslim governments keep a much tighter reign on their subjects than us americans.

Okay, so why did the Syrians and Lebanese govt. deployed police, fire crews to disperse the crowds, and why did the Interior Minister of Lebanon resign over this issue? Had they have known, would they of bothered to do all they have done? Yeah, many of these countries have cut dilomatic relations with Denmark, but they are not as stupid to try to burn down the Danish Embassy.

Syria is a threat to the region and a threat to Israel (quite possibly). So are Lebanon and Iran, but Iran is the BIGGEST threat of all.

I'm not sure what that has to do with truth. The first paragraph is horribly wrong and it just gets worse from there.

He's quite right... in Islam, Abraham, Moses, and Jesus are also considered prophets, but they aren't considered the "true" prophet of god. Basically what Muhammad did was make a religion out of Judaism, Christianity, and Local Arabian customs and basically perfected it to such a large degree. So greatly that most muslims, "true muslims", are actually more peaceful and tranquil than almost all the Jews and Christians and Athiests put together.
It may not make much sense to you, but if you bother to study Islam completely like I have, you would understand and appreciate it's beauty and harmony. Islam is a religion of peace.
And by the way 30% of all news coverage is fabricated, I wouldn't be surprised if those riots were actually less intense than they were told about in the news. After all Europe really isn't that much different from the United States.
