Hey, I have a question 2006-02-05 14:58:02 Reply

Hey, Im new to posting here, but I post in lots of other forums so I won't be n00b-tacular.......I hope

anyways, I started this thread to ask a question, I know there are lots of great flash artists on this forum and I was wondering, how did you get your Flash program? Did you buy it? Download it?
Because I've browsed online and all Ive been able to find are 600 dollar flash programs. So are there cheaper alternatives or suggestions you guys have?

any help would be awesome

Well I have heard of 30 day free trials and if your a student or something you can get a cheaper copy. I got flash 5 for free from a friend but I am not sure.

You can get the student version for about $100, providing you're a student. Or you could try eBay.

Or you could try LiveSwif, which is free.

1) Start with the 30 day trial, available here.
Click.

2) Next, if you like it, you can purchase it for full price, which can be expensive, or you have other options.
* Get a student discount, which will save you A LOT. You can view it here. See if you qualify.
Click.
* Ebay! Go look at some auctions and you can get it for even cheaper.
*DO NOT download from limewire or other download p2p programs. You most likely will end up with a virus, and you can get a regular version of flash just from the trial.

Hope this helps. And yes, if you start buying flash early, upgrades are CHEAP, so throw down the initial investment, and then work from there.

Combine the student edition price with eBay and you can get Studio 8 for about £100 (that's in POUNDS).

It's well worth the investment. Hope you enjoy using the Flash trial, and we in the forums are happy to help if the numerous tutorials in circulation cannot provide an answer to a question.

I'm back! on a temporary basis. No-one can remember who I am! but I don't really mind.
