I think we get wrapped up in our ideas a little too much sometimes. I think that it's time to congradulate the ones on the board who are able to present logical arguments, regardless of whether they are right or wrong ;)

Anyone want to nominate anyone?

Here's a few to start:
Slizor, Swayside (maybe, the arguments are so emotional sometimes though), ThenewAuk...

Anyone else, does anyone care?

I'd like to nominate Slizor, his well-informed views just devour this board. This is to you Slizor, I love you baby!*wipes away tear*

But seriously, I would go for recently returned P-Chan, the occasional AnarchyPenguin and for the "not-been-in-a-long-time" shorbe. May their images can carved out of stone and put at the enterance to the forum.

I'd nominate Dr_Arbitrary for his unending source of sarcasm and cynicism, the two things that keep me alive.
His wit lights up the board like a flaming cat every time I read one of hs posts. Sir, I take off my head to you.
(Ask my doctor. I take them in two pills every morning.)

Well, I was going to nominate Marajuana clock, but I figured I'd let someone else do it because I wasn't sure how active on the boards he was. I do think he makes good points quite often though.

all your one ups are meaningless unless you take some form of action to help defend your causes. This is all good and fun and many members of these forums have had valid points and should get these magical brownie points, but let's get serious, these posts aren't watched by government officials(except GWB maybe ;-) i bet he's a eminem hater)and maybe if you made petitions or went on radio stations, you could make a difference in this world. There is a great deal of potential in this forum, how much will be fulfilled?

Have you ever read the book "ender's game"

I think by arguing on these boards, I can encourage people to embrace certain ideas, they in turn will teach other people these ideas through casual conversation.

Furthermore, the people on this site make flash movies, an excelent way to spread an idea. If I can effect the thinking of enough people, the flash movies might be a little more in favor of the ideals I hold.

I love that book...finishing Children of the Mind up right now. and the Shadow series is nice too. But Ender's Game was definately the best.

By the way, Shadow of the Hedgemon more shows the power of the internet than Ender's Game does...

Well, I thought I'd stick to the classics, Enders game is a little more accessable to the average joe who hasn't read the series.

I've read "Ender's Game", "Ender's Shadow", and "Shadow of the Hedgemon" and all were excellent. I still haven't read the others in the series though.

The other ones starring Ender (Speaker for the Dead, Xenocide, and Children of the Mind) are a little less brash, a little more sociological than psychological like Ender's Game and Ender's Shadow, or political like Shadow of the Hedgemon.

I nominate Calimus for a new award.
Defouler of the Politics Board.
His repetitive arguments about homosexuality, his refusal to see facts, and his closed-mindedness has earned him a place of permanent hatred deep in my heart.
I am pleased to offer him his award.
You are free to place it in your profile.
The crappiness of the award is deliberate.

HEY! If you call him close-minded then you MUST follow-up by demolishing his argument.

If his arguments are repetitive then break them. If he refuses to see the light, then show the light to everyone else.

If you don't... then you allow ignorance to go unchallenged. And that would totally suck ass.

Alas, my patience is not unlimited when it comes to Calmius. I have argues withhim on a number of occasions, and tried to spread the light of knowledge across the forums, but he is like a black hole.
I still carry the torch, but now I shy away from the man with the bucket of water, Calmius.
