Hi, i come from a small country named Denmark, which is member of EU.
For about three months ago, a danish newspaper called "Jyllands-posten" printed some drawings of Muhammed. They did'nt mean any harm, and was not ment to provocate the muslims, but after that (AND ITS ONLU THREE MONTHS AGO!) many muslim lands have made a Trade-blokade against Denmark, which we losses a lot of money on (We're talking about several millions, and can very easily near billions of danish kapital!). (100 dollar is 600 danish kr.)! They want Denmark to apoligies for some stupid drawings, but Denmark wont! We have the right to say what we want here! We know if you say what you want down there, u'll get shot, but its not like that here! So the muslims can apoligie! (I'm not racist)
What do you people think about all of this?

We have the right to print what we want.
And they have the right to impose trade blocks.
But I agree, imposing trade blocks on a country because a few wayward citizens print some offensive stuff is just stupid, and your gov shouldent have to apologize for their actions. Rather, the publication needs to apoligize.

Yeah, but trade blokades causes that we losses millions and also, if this does'nt stop soon, billions of danish kapital. Printing does'nt cause anybody to lose money...
But thank you for your submitment, im glad you agree

A trade blockade is going to far, but the danish attitude against the muslim world is truly unhealthy.
Cause this is just the top of the iceberg....
Muslims in Denmark are treated terribly.
And instead of making fun of the political thoughts as satire should, these drawings just made the prejudices bigger.
Of course the blockade was going to far but publishing these drawings was increadibly stupid....
This is the best post in the universe!

Yeah, i agree with u in, that the publishing of the drawings were stupid!
But that about muslims are treated awfully in Denmark, i aint agreeing with you.
We give them SO many things, and many of them dont gives a sh*t back, as getting a job or something like that. But yes, most muslims gets a job, and gives something back to the sociaty. And what "bad" attitude against the muslim world are you talking about?
And yes, i'm afraid that this is just the top of the iceberg...

Silly Muslims.
Will they ever learn to stop taking lives and get one instead?

That was Theo van Gogh, in the Netherlands (Denmark lol). And Vincent van Gogh was his father's uncle. He got murdered for making a movie in which a nearly naked woman with Qur'an verses painted on her body talked about being mistreated. Some frustrated muslim murdered him for it, as he considered it an insult to write Qur'an verses, the most holy thing on earth, on the naked body of a woman.

If certain muslim countries start a trade embargo with Denmark, then the EU should in kind. Start an EU-wide trade embargo against all those countries, stopping all trade and humanitarian aid. See how they enjoy economic ruin that would come with being thrown out by the largest economy in the world.

Silly racists.
Will they ever learn anything about what they think they know all about?
As for the drawings, yeah they were bad, but they also have freedom of speech. Although they should be more sensitive. And while I don't think its right, the countries have the right to impose trade blocs.

This seems quite hopeless, now the contries that boycuts us burns our flag, and wants an international law. All because of some dump misunderstanding.
that's the first time I've seen my flag in flames... but something tells me I better get used to it.

The whole situation is rather ridiculous.
Denmark is a free country. As such, it has freedom of speech, expression, and other such jazz one might find desirable when partaking in free activities. The comic writer, and the country as a whole, should not apologise to these bullies, and that's precisely what they are, for practising, in their own country, their own rights and freedoms. I mean, I might have understood the whole shebang had they started distributing fliers in Iran, or putting up posters in Syria, but that isn't the case. It was all kept within the confines of Denmark, and that's where it should have stayed.
The muslim world complains heavily enough when the western one "interferes" with their politics and general welfare, and rightly so, yet when they do precisely the same thing, Denmark is supposed to roll over and play dead ? No dice, Sally.
I know the countries in question have every right to impose trade barriers on whom-so-ever they wish, but that's a completely overblown reaction to a meagre situation. As Loch_Ness_Monster said, if the EU values its freedoms and doesn't want to continue to be bullied by these feverant extremists, then it'll fight fire with fire. Blow for blow. The beliefs of these people won't be long in buckling under the threat of monetary loss.

Muslims are not a race. Because islam is a religion that is practiced by Arabic, African, Mediterranean, Slavic, and Aryanic people.

Ive never read hamlet, but you know it was written over 400 years ago, and has little to no social relevance today.
