As we have all noticed video game movies are on the rise, here is a short list: Doom, Bloodrayne (not released), Final Fantasy, Halo (not released), Silent Hill (not released) etc... And as we noticed these have completley destroyed the games we once loved. A good example is the movie DOOM which did not follow the storyline of hell at all or at least minimally. BUT. There are some games that would still live on perfectley as movies, which do you think would survive as a good game with a silver screen feature. Personally i feel Metal Gear Solid would do good provided Hideo Kojima directed it.

uhm, bloodrayne has been released, and it sucks penis. personally I agree with you on the MGS statement. and yes we need kojima to direct it or else we are screwed.

Yeh Metal Gear would be ok if Hideo directed but I bet Uwe Bole would end up with the job. He really needs to be banned from directing.

Well, to be fair, not all games that turn into movies are bad. I havnt ever played DOOM but i went to see it and it was prett good, especially the last scene with the HUGE cut.# That was AMAZING!
I love the tombraider games since i was 5 tough and was really disapointed when they released the shitist two movies ever made!
Some are good, most are bad. -Video game movies...

The thing is, Hideo Kojima doesn't direct movies, and since most movies are directed in America, the movies are going to be americanized and changed.

I wish it was that simple. unfortunately the sins of the mortal kombat movies, resident evil and the ultimate shame that was super mario bros means stopping Uwe Boll alone will only do so much.

The should make a sequal to the Super Mario Brothers movie. This time with creatures and characters that look like they're from the game.
A Metal Gear Solid game would be pretty cool except it would probably look a lot like Mission Impossible or James Bond, in my opinion.

Im actually looking forward to Silent Hill for some reason. Even though, most video game movies have a reputation of being bad.

Actually, I think that movies based off video games are fine, it's video games based on movies that suck.
