I was in the club with a few of my friends the other day, and we met a 14 year old from our school there by chance. He was overhyped about carrying a quarter-pound bad of Marijuana in his pocket, and he was running up from person to person showing it off, as if he was proud of possesing an illigelality in a public place, and at such a young age.

This morning, I got a call from him saying that he just finished smoking it, and when I asked him why he did such a thing he told me it was because he was stoned.

I blame the parents. I'm in an upper-middle class school and I find it disturbing that the parents there let their children run wild into the world, not caring where they go. The kid's mother is a belly dancer, and she's a total slut. She wears short skirts and flirts with her boyfriend at the age of 42. Since he's used to seeing this happen, he thinks it's normal. Being a belly dancer and all, she makes a lot of money, and lets her son do anything he desires. Complete freedom, without telling him what's wrong and what's right, since she's too busy having a good time.

I was raised in a different way. I have all the money in the world, and I thank God for that. But I don't go around buying anything I want just for the heck of it. I always had to 'earn' what I want. If I wanted a new computer, I would have to impress my parents with flashy grade and remarks from my teachers. Not only did it teach me patience, but it also taught me that good things come to those who do good things with themselves. I guess that didn't necessarily apply to the kid mentioned above.
