I, myself go against Patriot Act because as it seems it has ruined many peoples lives. And some have been falcely accused of crimes they did not commit. Or something rather, ofcourse patriot act did catch some terrorists and all, but still... still they suck!
I'm not against the Patriot Act, but I do feel that it needs to be rewritten and less vague. In order for myself to support the continuation of the Patriot Act, I feel that it needs to better describe on whom the Act is intended for, the terrorists and the illicit activities that occur within the US boundaries. The vaguety of the current Act just allows too many law-abiding citizens to be infringed of their right of privacy.

Yeah, I'll assume you're just another mindless pleb who is echoing what your parents have told you. I am not for the the section of the Patriot Act that gives the local, state, and federal gov the power to eavesdrop on others without a court warrant but what you're just saying is a load of bullshit, and you know it.

I bet you couldn't give me one name without having to scrutinize google. How does being spied upon ruin anyone's life? They wouldn't even realize it unless the SWAT team kicks in their door and throws them on the ground for the pipe bombs they're making in the basement. Also, people aren't accused of shit, if anything they say a during a phone conversation or email is suspicious they are even more heavily observed, and if they're indeed found guilty of any terrorist transaction they're arrested. They aren't taken in the depth of night by guys in black uniforms for saying things over the phone like "bomb" or "assassination" there has too be irrefutable evidence convicting them.
The whole Patriot Act is merely a bill increasing spending for national security and other roles the government has to play. You should learn your facts before spouting your leftist bullshit, sheep.
The USA PATRIOT ACT, which, by the way, is an acronym for Uniting and Strengthening America by Providing Appropriate Tools Required to Intercept and Obstruct Terrorism is a big mistake. It allows grave violations of habeas corpus and such basic freedoms.
The patriot act is an excuse for the government to spy on americans and silence dissention

Alright, at the moment i do not support the Patriot Act, i am actually mor one the fence. I think that is perhaps they amended it and as it was said before, define it more clearly.
Those are my views on the Patriot Act but i do have to ask, did u call him a sheep? and why?

Two words: Big Brother
Not yet, of course--we're a looooong way from it, but refer to the classic example of boiling a frog: If you put a frog into boiling water, it'll hop out. If you put a frog into cold water and bring it to boil, you'll boil the thing to death.
Also, anyone who instantly accuses someone of being ignorently leftist is almost always ignorently rightist and vice versa.
Sheep.
Heh, orwell was right, the government does need to abuse language to overstep its power.
I reccomend those in here who have not, to read animal farm and maybe 1984 (animal farms a fun read, 1984 is deppressing).
I'm as adamantly opposed to the Patriot Act as the ACLU. I don't appreciate how Bush's cabinet is trying to force/rush it through congress without giving congressional members good time to review all of the clauses. That's why I keep in contact with my state representatives, and senators, and it wouldn't hurt ya'll to build a good relationship with the ones from your state as well. Look them up, they're reachable, just google for them and their contact information is readily available, they are public figures after all.
