My friend Phil has that same exact Guitar and he recomended it for me and well I don't play guitar at all, but he said if I ever wanna start playing. So I assume it would be a good starter, I realy wouldn't know though.

Just a tip:

The correct phrases are "a good guitar" and "a beginner" not "an good guitar" and "an beginner"

When the next word starts with a vowel, you use "a"

When it starts with a consonant, you use "an"

Like this:

an apple
an egg
a monkey
a potato
an octopus

There's a few exceptions, but that'll be good most of the time.

fender stratocasters are always great for beginners, they're cheap and they sound okay.

They're NOT cheap; Imitation strats made by Epiphone or squires are cheap.
Actual Strats can go for as much as $2,000, and those are just for decent ones.

As far as the guitar goes, I would say that it is good for beginners. My first guitar was a squire strat, so I'd say you're on the right track.

I can't say I'm familiar with it, however I can offer the following advice.

Play with it at the shop before you buy it.
Check to see if the action is good, the strings should be close but not touching the fretboard
Yamaha and Fender Squiers make for good beginning guitars make sure you check them out when you visit your retailer you can buy good ones for around 400-600 Aussie Dollars.

No dude, that's not a good guitar.
Starter packets are never great material, after 5 months your guitar will sound like shit.
Go to a decent guitarshop, those guitars may be a little more expensive, but they will stay in good chape.
That one won't.

My suggestions for a beginner: Epiphone, stagg, ...
Epiphone is best.

Depends on what you want to play. That strat style guitar will sound thin. For a fatter sound, go with this:

if u plan on sticking with guitar for a while that is a perfect starter but if ur unsure on how long ull be playing guitar i would advise u on getting something a little less costly. Also keep it for at least 2-3 years i use to own a strat and i served a good 5 years worth of performing.

if you get the mexican version it can go for as low as 500 dollars and be the exact same thing.
