I can deal with banner ads, I can deal with pop-ups, I could even deal with the Fulps offering more services for a fee, but what I can't fucking stand is the fusion of advertising and works of art who deserve the front page.

The only reason why IllWillPress's excretions make it to the front page every signle time is because of their corporate ties with newgrounds (so-to-speak, newgrounds and illwillpress aren't corporations, but they certainly are starting to act like them).

IllWillPress has undeniably become a success, thanks in part to newgrounds, now that he's popular enough to have his brand carried in Hot Topic, he keeps releasing his flas movies on newgrounds, who thank him by giving the front, no matter how undeserving it may be. Newgrounds gets more visitors searching for foamy movies and consequently people buying their stickers. IllWillpress, on the other hand, benefits by attracting people visiting Newgrounds for other reasons and getting new fans that way, which means more t-shirt and DVD sales. It's a win-win formula, this is exactly how shows like Entertainment Tonight works, stars get more attention from the show and the show gets more ratings thanks to the stars, with little effort from either side.

Tom, Wade and everyone else working at Newgrounds, I'm not against you making money and paying your bills, just don't fuck your members over in the process, independent flash makers or viewers, we're the real reason of your success.

Illwillpress is a genious. Just because one of his flashes had racist content in it, doesnt mean all of them are bad. and besides, The Hatta's rant was just a joke. chill.

I didn't find the cartoon funny or well made, and I don't think it belongs on the frontpage. All illwillpress did was create a "black squirrel" so he can say things about black people that "Foamy woulden't be able to say". Even if he had used Foamy, I don't think it would have been quite as bad; but to hide behind a "black" character so he can say racist things about black people is fucking lame.

This is the worst movie he has ever done.

Well, I just saw the flash and it didn't seem as racist as some made it seem. Sure, it's offensive to some people, but the thing that offended me more was the fact that the cartoon was put on the frontpage only because it was made by illwillpress. It didn't even make the top five that day. Things like that are what keeps some good newcomers off the frontpage.

you must not realize what the front page is. its a popularity contest. tom and wade decide or whoever decide what goes up there. hell, what does it even matter if its up there? its one cartoon. i could see someone getting mad of the whole thing was nothing but iwillpress, but its one picture, one link. its not gonna keep anyone, newbies or regulars off the front page ever.
