Ok itäs clearly stated in the rules that we should only use the audio advert thread to advertise our music. And I think you should enforce that rule. Of course no one cares to read the rules when they wont get banned anyway?

What I meant is that the MODS could take more action so the NEWBIES would learn or alternatively disappear.

actually it's a little bit of both... if I were mod... and being that I'm a bit of a regular here, advertising your shit anywhere but the advert thread gets an automatic three day break from me... and if they go and whine about it, fine let them whine, I'll just throw the rules in their faces and say "look, it says read here first you fuckmook"... but that's me though, iono about you guys...

Well, perhaps we should all come up with an agreement - the first one to get to fuckmook topic should reference the rules and the proper thread - as well as point out how annoying that those topics are to the rest of us... Once that is done then NOBODY else should post to it.

We don't need to be complete assholes about it but if we let them know that we will ignore them and that they won't get recognition or respect from us until they play by the rules then maybe that's one more that will help out the NEXT time that another "hey cum chek mi shizzy" topic is started...

a really big problem with having one advert thread is, the speed in which your "advert" becomes worthless.

If I was a nub, and I didn't know the rules (90% time they don't), I wouldn't go around and post my topic in one thread, i'd be thinking (the BEST way to advertise, is to make a seperate thread).

At least thats what I think, I personally don't believe in advertising too much.

People should just advertise their new songs in their signature. That way, EVERYWHERE they post, people will see their advertisements, whilst remaining non-intrusive.

I assume you get irritated by all n00b adv. Well dont we all. But whats the point ofeveryone spamming the forum with audio adv.? Its a not so constructive answer to the problem....
Honestly im not sure where u wanna go with this thread... the audio mods (proteas and denvish... i dont think there are any more "official" audio mods?) are most likley aware of how things are in this forum, and im sure they do whatever they can to make it OK here...and im quite sertain they are aware that their presense here is not enough... But theres no reason to make things worse. The whole point of this thread however, is so that we who actually gets tired of all spam and crap in this forum can help cleaning up, at least until theres a solid base of audio mods around. I reckon that if anyone has any complaints, take it with wade, he's the king of the mods, right? :)

Other than that, i reckon teh only way we could get rid of audio adv. inthe forum would be to get a voting system allike the flash portal... many things would get solved then. But theres a long way to go i guess...

Its not really a matter of how new you are to the forums, more age.

NGS is being overrun by 12 year olds. The portal has already fallen, the general BBS flooded with useless posts, threads and bad English. They're heading here becuase all of a sudden, its amazingly cool to make music.
