I'm really bummed that "Don't Trip" and "Monothematic" didn't even make runner up. 8-bit theater 5, damn, it was boring. A couple laughs, but not third place. The first 10 seconds in the beginning of Arfenhouse 2 was funnier. The only one of the winners I voted for was Ultimate Showdown. And DCK, I've only seen a couple, but the humor is really mean and unneccessary most of the time, it instantly gets a "meh" sticker from me.

I'm also shaking a stick at the voters. A big stick.

f00d, zeeky, and myfriendscallmebobo, all this arguing is stupid. -MASS- was good (i voted for it) and very well done, BUT myfriendscallmebobo had a good point, in that many of the people on NG are very narrow minded and dont want to think. Therefore people watch mass and think that you're whining about someone else's fame, and your unpopularity. They dont bother to think about the real meaning of it at all. Thinking challenges NGers (i know, cause like half of my games are thinking puzzle gammes and people make reviews like "Ouch dat maid my brian hurt. 2/10".)

The point of MASS was driven very well, and yes it is true. BUT the average NGer isnt a flash artist, and cant understand the effort put into some games and toons. Frankly, they dont care. Most of these are 12-15 year olds who vote on violence, humor, and boobies. (Yes, i know I'm 15. But i'm talking in general here)

It sickens me to see reviews for stuff like Littlefoot that are like "It's good but not very violent" or "WTF that wasnt funny!". One time i got a review for Magnetism 2 Demo that was like "needs boobs"

About the star syndicate, i dont have grudges against you guys, but the thing is 99% of their stuff is crap. It's just users like zeeky, F00D, and rtil that actually make good stuff for that, but they are discriminated against for being with this group.
You guys are taking a big risk being in the star Syndicate, and this is another reason why MASS lost.

SUMMARY:
Ignorant 13 year olds + Stupidity + Star Syndicate Prejudgice (sp) = MASS losing.

It's how NG works, there's no way to change that.

I hope you three will stop arguing, cause talented artists like you should be friends, not enemies. Zeeky, ALTF4 wasnt insulting your movie or misinterpreting it, he was just stating what the average NG user thinks.

Ah well. I guess I just don't vote based only on famous names, unlike a lot of users. This confirms my hypothesis that most top 2000 users are actually LESS able to determine a quality flash than the general Newgrounds community. Why not start giving out prizes based on a movie's highest score at the end of a month?

"Ultimate Showdown" was pretty good, but I figured that it would win without my help and it wasn't one of my top10 favourites to tell the truth. Excellent song and alright graphics, but not much animation. "Retarded Animal Babies" was also pretty good (although I hated the previous episodes) but same thing - it didn't need my vote. I don't really think that #3-5 deserved their places at all, but, meh - good on you anyways, authors.

They aren't attacking him because he won, the main discussion in ...certain forums.. is that his animation rides the quality of the music, more than making it on its own. I'm not saying its downright terrible, or even nasty to look at at all, but look how the movie is above littleFoot in the portal, you can't possibly argue that without lemonDemon's music, the movie would even be in the top 50.

And then the guy goes and makes an accusation that another movie is simply whoring for votes, not doing himself any good by saying something like that.

Pallid Fingers 2 and -Mass- were the best 2 animations on Newgrounds this month, and that's no lie. The fact that this month's top 5 completely proves why the message in -Mass- is so true.
