And when your talking about sutf in that spectrum most digital sound files will become inadequate and you'd be relying on vynil which deteriorates quickly in other words experiencing the best sound reproduction is a costly habit

I've never actually thought if it that way. I don't thing a few vynils here and there would really bother the kind of person that is willing to spend that much on a single speaker though.

To all those people who have an iPod which is still in warranty and for whatever reason want to swap it for a new iPod of the same type free of charge just follow these simple steps.
1. Back up all your music
2. Plug your iPod into your computer and set it to manual update
3. Proceed to load some music onto your iPod and while the music is still loading itself onto your iPod disconnect your iPod from the computer without telling your computer you are going to do so.
If you have followed these steps correctly it is possible that you now have a permanantly frozen iPod so all you have to do now is take the iPod along with your proof of purchase to a store that services iPods, hand them your iPod and get them to replace it for you.

Note: As of 2004 this was the most common reason for people getting their iPods serviced as they would accidentally disconnect their iPods without telling their computers they were doing so, so all you have to do is tell the people at the store that it was a accident :).

Also, I was wondering how to set the season number, episode number, and TV show name in iTunes.

Thanks for all your help?

File > Add File To Library

I must say, I've noticed that some video extensions, probably those mainly associated with Windows, ie: WMV. If you have a troublesome format, then you will follow the steps to Upload a file to your library, and it simply won't appear. If this happens, try downloading some software, these might be helpful:

Costs 19.99, but probably is very good

If you have any more questions, feel free to PM me or post back. Thanks.

sorry I don't have a video ipod BUT since you brought up it up again you could simply create a video playlist (if that is even possible) an add every tv show file manually to it but thtat woul not put t as an option under the main video menu.

either that OR

There's posibly a softare upgrade tht will have that feature (Still I'm not really sure I'm basing this on my front row video menu wich does have the TV shows option that you want to add on ad front row put out a look vry similar to the ipod)

That's the best I can do sorry for the long response I thought someone who did a have a video ipod would be able answer that question but alas...

Yes, thank you. This seems like a good club, hopefully I can help keep it going or even improve it.

I'm pretty sure that you can do that by right-clicking the video file > Get Info > Info (Tab) > Fill in the info for the certain fields.

Hopefully that works.

The second one: right click on it and go to edit info. i've used the following format for TV shows.

Track: Episode name
Artist: TV show name.
Album: Series
Track Number: Episode Number.

And to expand on SK100's idea of a video playlist, that could well work, because there is a "video playlists" submenu in the videos menu.

I've been doing that so far (playlisting and info editing), so I guess that's something that won't change. Guess I'll have to wait for Apple's next software update to get the TV show function showing up. Thanks.

I'm working on an iPodLinux Myspace page, be sure to tell me what you think!

www.myspace.com/ipodlinux

It works best with Opera at the moment, but I'll change that. I'm removing all the HTML, then adding it back on once I have better code.

Don't make it more than 1024 pixels wide. I don't know if this is an accident or a HTML issue or whatever, but keep it under that. Not everybody has 1280* resolution.

I've removed all the petty information (although I still have the code saved in a .txt file) and kept the "supported models" table at the bottom.

Over the past few months, Apple has been making many new additions to the iPod family, but not neccesarily all iPods.

I'd just like to hear your opinion and say mine on the following additions:

iPod U2: I think it's a pretty good idea. I like the colors, the free U2 stuff included, but it's kinda expensive.
$329

iPod + Nike: I think this is a pretty cool technoligal advancement. Being the wireless sync between shoes and iPod.
$29 (Not including shoes and the iPod itself.)

iPod HiFi: The high price is extremely discouraging to buy, but I'm sure that, like all other Apple products, it's of the highest quality and in the end, worth your money.
$349

1 GB Nano: One would think that someone with a mere 1 GB of music would go for something like a Shuffle, or outside the iPod family, a Zen or something of that sort. Well, Apple has done it again. 1 GB of storage, with a color screen, contacts, & all the iPod features. Pointless in my opinion, although a friend of mine actually did buy one.
$150

Discuss.

I've got a third gen, but I don't know how to put it on there. I downloaded it, and it comes with an .exe and a few other files but I don't know how to run the program. It asks for mingwm10.dll which is there.
