I tried a html popup system once thinking that nobody would have problems, but the complaints still came in. It might have helped a bit, but would not be a fix.
This is a better system. I hope the graphical improvements planned stop all these complainers. Newgrounds is moving in the right direction.
if people allowed NG in their pop-up blocker prefrence they wouldn't have this trouble
Looks pretty good Tom. My question is that do you have to make another tab in your web browser to stay logged in or can you use the same window.
My suggestion is that you add how many days we are from leveling up.
u know.... the pico trying to get inside the vualt with secrets and that kinda stuff...

I personaly hate the new NG account layout, it's bulky and awkward and i loved the old one how you could see all of your options in one window, instead of having to scroll up and down.
So i think Tom should add in an option in your account wheather you would like it to look like that(Say for the people with pop-up blockers) or wheather you wanted it in the mini form.
So one click would make it a large page and another click would make it the old pop-up one which was cute.
I feel that Tom shouldn't compromise the site Account appearance because some people complain they have pop-up blockers, i mean it's not difficult to halt them for this site..
I disagree with both things. Two systems would be ridiculously confusing and hard to maintain. A choice of background colour is one thing, but two entirely different systems is not possible for a site like this.
And it's important to create the site with as many people as possible in mind. I always check my site in various browsers even though some are used by 1% of the internet. You never know if one of the people turned away could be the next big Flash artist.

doesn't change the fact that it's annoying.

Hmmm, at the moment I must say that I liked the old Grounds Gold Menu better, but it all depends on the new features.

Most of the NG popups are done with scripts from other sites.
All it takes is to use Adblock and block these scripts, then allowing NG popups, you'll get no popups and it'll allow the GG menu to open. (Well, if it wasn't a popup.)
But then a lot of people don't know that...
Tom says the site will get rid of the flash navbar anyway and use a html login anyway, so the popup could possibly come back.

adblock stopped working for me. i can no longer ad links to it.
I like it better than the old way.
My computer is a piece of shit, so too many windows, no matter the size, slows it down.
I prefer the pop-up version. :(
Why don't you leave an option to let us choose whether we want it in pop-up form or not?

All of the images and text are off center and pass the margin if there was one... but it's a neat idea. There's just a litle bit too much panel stuff going on though, we don't need it to be that pretty.
I liked it more in the old version
here are my reasons, it was much more compact, now i need to scroll down to see everything on the page, then i could see everything at one glance.
Second reason, its less stylish, it looked more beautifull in the old version.
But hey, the big plus now is, that this will be more usefull in the future, and i bet that after a week i don't even notice it anymore.
I really like the changes. Now I don't have to hold down control to view my profile. And a full page looks much better than the new window.
Add a flash submission delete button please.
Alright, you'll do it? Thanks!

From now on, the user system won't involve pop-ups.
Love the new GG pages. Looks great, and no more pop-up blocker problems. A great improvement!

Oh, well done. Now I can access my login page to edit my BBS signature or public profile without going off a post Im writing or a topic Im looking at.
And now, considering Im running Firefox, I cant open it in a tab OR window.
Nice. Fucking. Work.

That IS a good idea... It would be nice to be able to remove movies you dont want on your list of submissions anymore yourself...

Motion seconded. Two of mine have been renamed the classic delete thing for...what, seven months?
