How do I get a more recuperative sleep? I get about 8 hours of sleep but I'm still really tired when I wake up and have a hard time staying alert during the day. Anyone have tips on helping me get a better sleep? I really need help

Try sleeping with a different posture, face down, face up, on the side, backwards, anything. You might find a position that makes you feel comfortable and your body parts properly rested. Sounds odd, but I used to have a problem that was similar.

Take sleeping pills. If you wake up too tired in the morning, cancel them out with caffine pills.

Oddly enough I have the same problem, do you sleep with music on? How noisy is your alarm... cause I heard even the way you wake up can effect how tired you are.

when you get a lot of lack of sleep it's laying carrying around a back pack. For every hour of sleep you need and don't get it's like putting a brick in your back pack. When you haven't slept well for a long time you've got a lot of bricks in yo damn back pack that'll drown you the second you get in a pool! SO DON'T CARRY AROUND BRICKS IN YOUR DAMN BACK PACK!!!

Drink yourself stupid. You'll lose track of what day it is, but you'll get a good 16+ hours sleep.

Try different posture and sides of your pillow. Also, new sheets and TV or reading before going to sleep, will help too.

Do something that's really really boring. Bore yourself to sleep.
It works for me.

It is said that you would have a nice sleep if you take a hot shower before going to bed. In addition, if you find yourself tired after an 8-hours sleep, you will need to go to bed early.
