Oh my god!!! That sucks! He's a good guy, even though he gave the Arabs land. The middle east is not looking good and especially with Palestinian terror, this might be percieved as a sign of weakness. Not good.

The world will hate the new guy as much as they hated the old guy. Not that much really.

Would it be wrong if I said "Woohoo!"? Wait, why do I care what other people think?

Woohoo, hopefully he'll die. Then Israel can get a new leader who'll do exactly the same and ordinary people will continue to die. Great. Do you think we'll ever run out of bastard politicians?

I don't know much about Sharon, either for his political or economical standings, but he must be competent if he's able to continue to defend Israel from the terrorist attacks or at least, minimize them in all.

nice, we can see how one sided your view is, giving land back to the Arabs is a bad thing but Israeli helicopter gunships hitting civilians, bulldosing entire appartment buildings because a suicide bomber lived in one of the units and the new Isreali wall are good?

He didn't say any of that, he simply said that the infirmity of Ariel Sharon could be seen as a sign of weakness. Your interpretation is just a straw man projection of your our prejudices and hatred.

So Raptor, nothing to say on the subject?

Oh well. I say good riddance to Sharon, maybe a resurrected Arafat will make it into power and the save the Palestinians from those nasty Israelis.

my hatred, i absolutley hate both sides, but his post generalized that all problems were the fault of Palestine and that land shouldn't have been given to any "arabs"

Good guy? I hope you're joking! Perhaps his heart gave out due to all the evil clogging it up from his terrorizing Palestinians. /HD

Benjamin Netanyahu

But who cares about that, I'm wondering if israel is going to follow through with its 'end of march' invasion on Irans nuclear reactors.

I laugh at the ignorance of that statement! Do you even know who Benjamin Nethanyahu is, how stupid and liar he is and how many mandates his party got? His party has only 16 mandates by the last poll out of 120. However, Ha'Avodah has 20 mandates and kadimah has 39. Besides, the current PM is Ehud Olmert, which is a member of Kadimah. Benjamin (Bibi) is one of the worse, if not the worst, prime ministers this country had had! So please don't just say things without knowing them.

But who cares about that, I'm wondering if israel is going to follow through with its 'end of march' invasion on Irans nuclear reactors.

Sure....

i agree
when the israeli army would blow up a building a because a terrorist lived in it,you've got to think that all the other innocent people who used to live in it would feel as if they were victims of an injustice, making them good targets for terrorist propagenda

i was reading his resume and it said that in 1982 he had been forced to demission bfrom his defence minister spot because a comission said he was in part responsible for the arab masacres that took place during the lebanon war

funny how an ex terrorist got the nobel peace prize and how a former army general is now viewed as a "man of peace"

what is also interesting is that this is happening just a few weeks before the election, his newly founded party was supposed to dominate but how would they do if he were to die?

Damn! I must've missed that news day.......

I'm sorry to say that that area will (IMO) always be a mess, politically, terroristically (haha, I made up a word....), economically, militaristically, and religiously.

It's been a messed up region since Alexander the Great, just to varying degrees over the centuries........

As you should.

Do you even know who Benjamin Nethanyahu is,

Nope, but he is the only other israeli politician I knew of, so I put his name down.

I just noticed this bastardish statement, which I have to answer...

The thing is that Israel can not get a new leader who will do the exact same thing. The evacuation from Gaza was only so successful as it was because of this leader, it wouldn't have happened without his leadership. Currently, besides Sharon, there are four possibilities for prime minister:
Ehud Olmert (likely to become the new prime minister)-He is a very good leader, i would agree to that, he was the mayor of Jerusalem for four years and did a great job. However, leading the country to an other evacuation, this time from a bigger place, this is a very big step. Since he doesn't come from army as the other leader do, it would make things even harder. Also, he never showed too much publicity and he still doesn't, the citizens don't know him well yet.
Amir Peretz (pretty liely to become prime minister)- Well, he believes in the same things as olmert does although they are from different parties. However, he has a lot less years of expiriance in politics, he just came and was chosen to be the leader of Ha'Avodah. So, he cannot really lead us to a successful evacuatrion from the west bank for not having expiriance not in the army field and not in the politics field.
Shim'on Peres (pretty unlikely to become prime minister)- He is a pretty good leader actually, I think that he could lead us to a successful evacuation from the west bank. However, Sharon was a lot better than him in that field, he is boldest and more serious than him in these things. Also, the chances of him getting to the prime minister position are close to zero.
Benjamin Netaniahu (unlikely to become the new prime minister)-He is a total ass, and he won't get elected, if he would, he would not lead us to an evacuation at all.
