One six was enough to bring one movie lower then him. But not enough to lower it for the current winning movie.

Reviews a Two, out of nowhere, in fact people shouldnt even know of the collabs existance, especially not someone from tHE VGCD forum, (which by the way mass 10'd the original movie for its win)

Lets look at this account, that convinietly reviewed a 2 (dropping the current RCP film lower then his)
One favorite flash movie, it was one of luigi_dude12's sprite films.

Oh it looks like 95% OF HIS REVIEWS are ALL 10's FOR luigi_dude12's films. All saying simmilar things like "awsome movie dood" exc.

Now Why would 2 people review very low on a film they have never even heard of before, conviently low enough to drop it out of RCP and put their a ahead (The current RCP movie was no the only victim) http://www.newground..m/portal/view/286810
also had RCP stolen from it by the low review.

Oh and he also made an antire new account called Raccoon Luigi (smart one) and reviewed zero. In a last desperate attempt to gain himself RCP.

Now I did my research before I jumped to the conclusion that he reivewed zero in order to gain himself an award. It is blindingly obvious that he infact IS NOT INNOCENT. It is also obvious that the VGDC forums DO MASS VOTE, and MASS REVIEW THEIR CRAPPY SPRITES. Yet I never see complaints for them, as their account names dont end in "lock" or "star"

When I make a film, I post it on the Lockleigon / Clockcrew/ Star Syndicate Forums. The users of the forums are there to vote as THEY WISH. Mass voting and voting 10 just for the sake of it is DISCORUAGED. But people do it anyways. Just like If I show my best friends my movie, they are inclined to support me.

Now I have seen Knox and Illwillpress steal more awards then the SS, CC, LL VGDC and GG combined. Yet they are never bitched at, because they dont all belong to a tight group.

The new rule about Mass voting is fair, I personally hate it. But I also hate overrated shit being voted 5 by fanboys, just for the sake of who the author is.

In conclusion I say.

Wade do some research before you go making accusations. I didnt just randomly review zero because I wanted some shitty Star Syndicate collab to win some shitty award. I reviewed zero because that asshole decided that he could rig the portal to steal himself a review crew.

The only reason Wade is targetting these specific groups and not the mass-voting toadies abound in the portal, is that its a lot easier to spot someone with "Clock", Lock" and "Star" in their name.

Also, those groups don't have masses of 13 year-old idiots circle-jerking around them and throwing piles of mummy and daddies money at them. Attacking the real perpetrators of this most heinous crime would hurt revenue, so softer targets are picked at.

In fact my Christmas animation had a chance at review crew but I didn't try to cheat it IN THE LEAST, instead the SS got it.

The SS do it on a regular basis, I don't, I have better morals than that and try to be a better member.

You do realise that we haven't "mass voted" anything in months? If anything happens, it is people acting on their own, it isn't done under the name of the Star Syndicate.

Its a small step wade, but I don't think it is possiable to end portal abuse, espically with the groups. I mean how can you tell if a group of people mass review vote high? Suppouse all those people are really just giving it tens. Its something thats sadley unsovable.

What about if someone submits an entry and then links 20-30 friends via AIM or MSN messenger. Those friends then link 20-30 friends each. Do they get banned?

What about people who automatically vote 5 and 10 on Neurotically Yours (or other such series) whether they deserve it or not. Do they get banned?

A fair vote or review on this website is a very rare thing.

Anyway, about the few times proposed banning of all of the age of 13, I feel this wouldn't necesseraly help. As they could vote logged out. And there are resonable 13 year-olds (and younger), but they're rare, no matter what they say. But a stricter age limit (maybe 15) would weed out atleast the worst fanboyism. Though there still would be underaged voters and such, it would improve the situation a bit.

I agree that action should be taken to stop portal abuse but you can't target entire groups for the actions of a few individuals.

Remember that time Wade got the general NG BBS populus to mass vote on his movie? Yeah, that was great.

I'd only support this (not like my opinion matters, but still) if you did the same thing for the fanboys of series who unfairly vote and review anything their flash god releases. Illwillpress, of course, is a man who wins an award for everything he releases, pretty much, solely because of this (he hasn't advanced in animation or story or anything in the four, five years he's been making cartoons?). I don't really mind that they do it, even though it irritates me, although I DO mind that you single out groups that do less to swing a score than fanboys do.

In fact, I can't speak for every group, but at least the Clock Crew hasn't condoned mass voting for a good couple years. Sure, we got a lot of awards on Clock Day, but that wasn't because of our fives, that was because almost EVERYONE voted 5 that day, because of the blam/protection system, so they could get their free protection points, and the movies that won awards truly deserved them anyway. Personally, I voted on maybe 5 movies that day, to get my experience. I REVIEWED more movies than I voted on.

Anyway, I think the fanboy issue is much, much more of a "problem", if there is any, for the same exact reasons, and at a much higher magnitude than any damage an extra 30 5 votes per clock flash (there's much more active clocks, but I doubt there's too much more than that who are motivated enough to fiven each and every movie).

But i want ALL FORUMS of portal abuse to stop. Not just "oh ban any locks or clocks because they may have done it once and let the Overrated sprites and Legendary frog films steal the awards from hard deserving artists"

I would say that portal abuse is impossible to get rid of, because if you lets say delete an abused SS movie, then you will get an abused sprite movie to replace it, and if you kill that you will get a foamy movie exc.

The people who work hard on their flash are usually the ones left in the dust. And the people who make quick, slightly funy overrated crap (or sprites which takes no effort) are getting all the fame.

It really sickens me. I want a system where hard work is payed off. But thats not Ngs.

Heh, I'll admit, Newgrounds is starting to become less important for my games. I use it more as a launching pad and some quick feedback than anything else nowadays. They start here, and then the 100 other flash game link sites snatch it and put it on their site, and I get hundreds of thousands more views from there, while here, I might be lucky to get 20,000 views if it doesn't get Daily Feature (which I haven't gotten in years) or get spotted by Tom or Wade and thrown up on the front page (which happened with CC Fight Club).

The sites that people usually say they've seen my stuff?: Big-Boys, Ebaumsworld, Fetchfido. I haven't gotten any emails that have said they saw them on Newgrounds, although maybe part of that is they're more likely to review than email me :P, but I still get a lot more hits from other sites than Newgrounds, nowadays.

If I'm not mistaken the only problem wade has is either

... if you aren't doing that you will probably be fine.
