The Legend of Zelda: ending 2006-01-03 19:24:20 Reply

Hey fellahs, I'm back, fresh from my latest joy-ride of a ban.

Anyhow, about a month ago a friend of my brother's was kind enough to lend us his old N64, since ours was broken about 4 years ago.

One of the games he lent us was "The Legend of Zelda: The Ocarina of Time", which is the only N64 game that I've been dying to play for a really, really long time (since the year 2000, actually). I pretty much shut myself up in a room with a fairly small tv, a N64 and that game until I freakin' beat it.

It was as great as people have told me all these years, no doubt about it. The bosses were a BLAST, and the puzzles and traps throughout the missions were definetely up to the other Zelda games' standards.

The only part I didn't like all that much was the ending: I just think that it was pretty bloody sad.

I mean, what the hell, I've killed myself going back and forth through time, slaying countless freaking monsters and solving mindboggling riddles, and you can't even gimme a lil' SMOOCH, princess??? Send me on my way to the past, will ya?

takes deep, calm breaths.

Besides that, what I really wanted to do was ask you fellahs if you knew...if at that very last scene, where Link comes up behind Zelda as a kid....does Zelda remember everything? Or is he a stranger to her? Does Link remember anything, for that matter?

Pure awesomeness. You must read it.

If you sit there for like 20 mins watching them, and if you have a scarecrow song, it goes to a hidden scene with everybody dancing to that tune.

No accually a picture of a bloody, screaming penis comes up... did I say something?

Subconsciously she does. In Majoras Mask, when you are remembering the song of time, there is dialog between Link and Zelda in which she states that she feels like she's known Link for a long time, or something like that. This means one of two things:

1.) They really hit it off and its a figurative thing.

or

2.) She subconsciously remembers the whole thing.

So basically, Majoras Mask is the sequel???

I gotta see that, then.

It'd make sense, to a degree, I suppose. What with all the masks in the Ocarina of Time game.

Stop saying fellahs >:(

Anyway, yeah, Majoras Mask is a sequel, though it takes place outside Hyryle, in an alternate dimension, if I memory serves.

Majoras is the direct sequel, Link is searching for Navi in it.

It's also in Termina, a sort of werid dimension full of reused character models!

But is way harder and darker than OoT0

majora's mask is the sequal. then in windwaker, the game takes place in the very distant future and link or something possesses some kid.

and in the enw one coming out this spring, twilight princess, they go back to the ye olde story line. but you play link as an adult

Majora's Mask takes place in Termina which is basically like another country. It's what Link does after Ocarina of Time because he's bored and wants to kick some ass.

And yeah, Wind Waker is in the diiiistant future after the Gods, Din, Farore, and Naryu flooded the land of Hyrule to protect the world from Ganondorf's possible return. No, you're not playing as Link, but as a distant relative. Cool game...

And yeah... kinda.

Hey Mal, I didn't think you'd even lurk around in General x)

So Twilight princess should be...the sequal to Majora's Mask?

And besides that, what console will it come out for?

Anyhow, I managed to get my hands on Majora's Mask...this should be pretty good. I'm guessing all the weapons and hearts I worked so hard for in the OoT will be gone, right?

Well no... it's not a sequel. I think it's supposed to be a bit different. Nintendo Ltd. are bitches and don't like to reveal things to us until the game comes out.

Gamecube. They are going to create Zelda for the Nintendo Revolution, also. I think it's in the process of being created.

Well... one, you need an expansion pack. I hope you have that. Otherwise you can't play the game. And two, Majora's Mask is kind of different. It's a totally different storyline and there are different weapons in it. And of course you won't have the hearts and weapons from OoT. It's a different game!

hehe... its not the ending that made Zelda great though, it was just simply how it ruled over every RPG for three years (the game won game of the year two years in a row.)

according to my deep zelda knowledge, Twilight Princess takes place about 30 years after Ocarina of time. From wat i know, the hero of time has left 30 years ago, and the return of ganon described in wind waker is coming, but i think the change is that you can stop that cataclism from happening now...

but how? do you kill ganon again or does link finally get his girl? never know til the game comes out.

I have nothing to say that is at all relevant.

all that nitendo's website gives is that you start out as a wolf...some type of trapped soul able to switch between human and wolf during a full moon.

i wonder if it will be timed like majora's mask...

i bet since they are both now grown, link and the princess wil finally remember eachother..or get to know eachother again. but since he's asurf, i doubt they'd get it on. he'd probably get a kiss on a cheek. then the sequal would probably includ his son or grandson, link will be old and help along or some shit...then agian, they may just start remaking the series again from the beginning, but for the revolution

I think its more of one of those destiny things. Because if you think about it, it was his fate to find the master sword, and his destiny was to save zelda, so either way, their paths would cross and of course they'd end up with something. Her saying she feels like she known link for a while is just kinda a way of saying that they have some chemistry, and that zelda still has importance to the whole game.

no, you play as this random guy from toaru village( not in OoT) who, in the beginning, (not the very beginning, just after the tutorial type stuff) pisses off his girlfriend Iilya, for riding his horse "dangerously", then these guys come and sack the village. And you, yes YOU, decide to rescue a little boy thats been kidnapped by the sackers.

You dont start as a wolf, but near the beginning you get sucked into the
"twilight hyrule", so you get locked in the slammer as a wolf, then this scary midget named midna comes and frees you, and you go back to your world, turning human again. But thats just ze start of the game, according to nintendo ( No duh...)

I remember hearing about how OoT is suppose to be the start of Series. Not as in first came out but as in chronological order.
