if english shit gets dubbed in dutch for example, it aint as fun as it was.. its just the way it is

Yeah, it's true, but are you kidding me? I watch american films whit subtitles. It's not pain in the ass, cause i got a use to it. There's barely american films whit bulgarian translations. Just only series.

Subbed is always better than dubbed. With dubbed cartoons the new voices sound wrong and meaning is lost through non-equivalent translation. Even when meaning is lost with subtitles, you can still extract meaning from the original voice actor's inflection.

I watch everything in original language with subs.
Dubbing destroys the spirit. It's not just anime and stuff, I mean, I don't want Johnny Depp speaking finnish (an option at a movie theare with Charlie and the Chocolate Factory)

It's because most of the time the English version has terrible voice acting, like in My Neighbour Totoro...
