Yeah. I'm no mod, but shouldn't this be in general?

Another Problem with Hell is sensory adaption.... I mean from what Ive heard of Hell Its the same punishment for eternity... In that time you should be able to adapt to the stimulation.. Dosen't add up.

Hell does not exist. There is merely purgatory. This is a comprehensive reeducation program at worst. Judaism doesn't acknowledge the existance of Hell, to my knowledge. Hell, the concept of Hell doesn't even make sense!!

Wasn't Hell, or atleast the idea of hell originally a pagan belief?

Yeah, it probably originates from the Greek's concept of Tartarus/Hades. Take a look at Homer's Odyssey. That's a good example of the Greek belief.

Im guessing that it had something to do with the catholics takeing the idea and using it as a scare tactic.. Im pretty sure no one would argue that at one point they werent above doing things like that.. But this is just a conjecture of mine, and is based on litle evidence, and mre on intuition.

I was merely saying I believe the catholics are the ones who incorporated the idea of hell into the bible.. My reasoning for this is that Hell is not a Jewish belief, and so I assumd it was not in the original hebrew vrsions of the old testament; furthermore, the catholics at one time had total control of the bibles and their translations... Also I don't think they would have ben above scare tactics.

Hell is all about torture, and stuffing as many people into a confined space, is very painful. Therefore, there is no capacity.

Hell wasn't always a fiery pit, but after you cram enough people into small enough space it tends to get a little stuffy.
