So what do you think is the best PC game ever? I'd say Half-Life 2, I was really blown away when I played that. What do you think?

the x-com series is the best game compared to it's time, it's like civ + tactics.
other games good to their time is civ 2, and starcraft.
These games aren't the best, but compared to their time they are groundbreaking and amazing.

I would say rome total war right now just because of the massive size, beauty and tactics involved in it. If you are into planes i would definately recomend the anniversary editionb of flight simulator, its a simulator and not much of a game though, be warned.

half life 2 was just mediocre imo, i know a bunch of one minded people will go apeshit on me for this but half life 2 is just the PCs Halo, plain ol high graphic FPS with nothing new. Just like the other FPS it can be cleared on highest difficulty with my eyes closed.

Other good games, Battlefield 2, CS, AOE III, oh and I have to plug this guy as much as possible because he's an entrepreneur, A tale in the desert

It's not the PVP, because DAOC destroys WoW in the PVP department. It's not the end game, because EQ2 and EQ completely wreck WoW. It can't be the group combat because AO is insanely the best in terms of grouping. It can't be quests because, well, EQ and EQ2 have it beat.

Basically, EQ2 is a better game than WoW, however, both suck. WoW is like Halo, over rated and played by kids.

In terms of graphics i'd say Half Life 2. I was like OMG when I first played it. Outside of that i'd say any of the Civilization games, or any Sierra-made game really. Those are the bomb. Except richochet. That was fucking stupid.

Richochet was the best HL mod ever.

Anywho, the graphical FPS award is a big tie between F.E.A.R. and Call of Duty 2... with FEAR leading by a small margin.
