Music I like...
I don't have much Korean music mainly because there are so few groups that have actually gotten my attention, but...
Drunken Tiger- MoReShiGhe
Druken Tiger is a great group, other than this song and "Do You Know Hip-Hop?" "I Want You Naughty" is another favorite of mine, along with "Stairs To Heaven". Although I must say, I think only you and I may only know about this group, ha ha ha.
And you want to talk about Nitro huh?
Nitro Microphone Underground- Akugi Den Hanashi
Mischief
I like to think of this group as the Japanese Wu-Tang. Eight angry MC's. A very legendary group
And you also like Heartsdales huh?
Heartsdales- Rainy Days
Heartsdales- FLY!
Straight out of Hartsdales New York, yes, it actually exists, comes two sisters with the ability to Rap and sing at the same time. The interesting this is that sometimes, their voices can sound so alike...
I'm no fan of TB. I like them better when their seperate and not bunched up like that. Maybe a normal collab would do. I like it better when people from their own groups produce their music. Maybe if they were apart of it as well, it would've been somewhat better, in my opinion. It was an interesting idea, but so much more could've been do with that project.
And Kreva, from the Kick The Can Crew, I love that group. Here's one of his solo tracks though...
Kreva- Goodbye
I doubt that the title of the song is actually "Goodbye, but my friend named it. No biggie at the moment. He creates his own beats, and he's good friends with Verbal, who'd have thought?
Anyway, stick around, I have plenty of Japanese music in these catagories...Rap, Hip-Hop, Pop, Indie, R&B, and last but not least, Rock. Rock isn't my genre, although there are only a couple of Rock groups that I do like that blend things into the Rock genre that gets respect from me. Those two groups are Dragon Ash, and Orange Range. Take these two tracks for example...
Dragon Ash- Yuri No Saku Basyo De
Dragon Ash is one of those groups that will be on one mood one second, but then jump dramatically to another in a heart beat. Listen to this whole track, and you will see what I'm talking about.
Orange Range- Papa
This an interesting group. They combine Rock, Electronica, Rap, and many other elements to make an interesting song. They may be leading the next step in the evolution to Hip-Hop and Rap, but this is mostly a Rock group.
To the tracks above, it's meant for the Japanese Music fan club as a whole. It is best if you listen to them to understand it all. Anyways, I was thinking that from now, whenever a song is brought here, instead of saying "That was good, and etc" Give a short review of the song, and how you feel about it. At least that way, it won't be considered spam, Ok? It will make this place a lot more legit. Anyways...
Anime Music Track Of The Day
Chobits- Tragic
Songs of the Days
DS455- Boku No Naka No Shounen
One of my most favorite songs by this group. They brought back the power of G-Funk. If you don't know what that is, then listen to the song and you'll find out. Ten respect points from me if you can guess what the title of the song means.
Soul Scream- Kuro Itsuki No Yoru
This song is a classic. It's about a night with a black moon, hah. The song as a whole has the ability to relax just about anybody. It's that powerful.
Emi Honuichi- Crying
Do not let the song title fool you. It's a great song actually. Believe it or not, M-Flo's Taku Takahashi produces her music, along with the group called Halcali. Very good song, believe me.
Kazami Feat Sphere of Influence- Rizumu
This is an uplifting song. Sphere of Influence isn't the type of person to go into gentle songs like this, but he does it anyway, and he did a good job of it. Kazami though, she is known, but not as well known as should should be.
Saturday Party Track of the Day
Michico- Bounce Baby
The song is full of energy from the beginning, all the way to the end. Trust me, it's a great track.
I would post the secondary tracks like I normally would, but I'm running low on character space so I'll do that tomorrow. I'm lucky, considering how many tracks I have. Two years ago, just when I was getting into the Japanese culture, like many people, I had only heard the anime tracks, at the moment I wasn't too interested until one of my good friends showed me the other side of Japanese music. He introduced me to a lot of groups. Hell, he even gave me four MP3 CD's filled to the max with music. So, I'm good where I stand. I buy my CD's from Amazon and yesasia.com. Well enjoy, and leave reviews.
