3.80 / 5.00 4,200 ViewsI'm gonna make a poem for fun, and to impress Sarai.
Rhyming.
There is a lot of Earth, although some is salvaged for a house,
Water is the element that can make forest fires douse,
Wind fuels the fire, although can put it out,
Fire is the beginning of this, without a doubt.
Haiku:
The fire is burning
All throughout the house
And people are dead.
Something stupid.
Fire rules,
Water can be drooled,
Wind sucks,
but when it's flinging Earth at you,
you better God damn duck.
Thank you very much for selecting me further, I will try and write something nice.

There's no-one to really thank. Everyone is selected because of their talent, not because of popularity, thank yourself. ;-)

I'm sure there's an insult in there somewhere P:
to bump... or not to bump...
Elementals
To which all things, that are too dire.
Heat begins, which is molded by fire.
Elementals
Go outside, and feel the grounds girth.
All thanks, to our Mother Earth.
Elementals
Focus your eyes on things that transcend.
Moved back in forth, ordered by the wind.
Elementals
When the skillet gets hot, the items grow hotter.
To cool it down, we always have water.
Elementals
Still original, creative & innovative, most known unknown.

Warm soft earth, my skin presses against you,
A delicate shiver up my spine, your mossy carpet
My protection.
My head resting on the bank of the brook at my side
Hair streaming in the gentle current,
It catches the leaves floating in your fresh babbling heart.
Fire now as you take me and make me yours
It burns through me and torments me inside,
Till you explode through my body and soul.
Into the afternoon cerulean sky my breath sashays,
The sound of our passion swirls through the trees
And you are mine and I am yours, elemental love.

Comments please?
Quick question, will you be doing a short story competition, or can I try that? *_*
Well I've written my entry. ^_^
Personally I think it's okay, but I like it nonetheless, and any feedback would be appriciated. I hope I win, and best of luck to the other contestants, the other poems haved been great so far. ^_^
Night Soldier
I am the warrior, I embrace my powers tight
I stand united with myself, a single shadow in the night
Rooted to the ground, I know that they are here
Though even though I'm surrounded I keep no fear
They charge, attack, I hold them back
The earth and I fight as one
And suddenly the power I lack
As I am blinded by the sun
The enemies, they melt, as I stand in the heat
The giant ball of fire looms in the sky
I know this is it, I must retreat
But I am engulfed by the embers and die

Both Sarai's and StarF68's poem were good, but very different.
Depending on the Judges style, we could see different entrants in the final...

You can do that if you want to, we do not have one of those planned.

its just funny i guess
I'm gonna go back to my room and be awesome.

Not exactly about the elements per say, but each element is referenced: Water, Fire, Air, and Earth. Instead of using the elements as the topic, I used them as a tool to elaborate on a poem about death. The original poem was 5 lines longer (more explanitory and less vague/amiguous), but I had to edit it in order to meet the requirments. The message is still there, just hidden.
Liquid eyes are in the cold
while the sun drips downward
and stains your worsted-wool
a grey and burning red…
Frozen asphalt of private remorse
contains your every facial decay
and echoes the lines in a ballad
of birds and a single bed…
Footprint slabs augment below
“to mark my home in your life”
and deliver the black suit man
a news clip of the dead…
Bumped for the good of Edgar.
i haven't been on NG all day, so I feel obligated to bump this out of necessity....

The candles are aglow, the moment has come
In our lustrous cloaks we shall begin the witching fun
To acquire knowledge, we pursue the earthly masters visually
To attain answers, we must unleash their celestial boundary
Welcome their holy presence in the unwavering wind
To feel our bare souls become perfectly entwined
Invite their firey breath to caress our callous pelt
As they enrich us with an influence thoroughly felt
The candles become weary, the clouds shower their tears to wash away our pain
We open our eyes to see a creation so deeply torn yet utterly mundane
Witness our crystal air polluted, our azure waters full of waste
They cursed us with the vision of the suffering we must face
*Spelling error, sorry.*
*Fiery instead of firey.*
*I type too damn fast.*
bah!...wuh?.... what tha....
a poem contest? in it's third round? you should have told me, annderson, i would have entered.
The sky seperated...
:: Woosh ::
And then... it was bumped...
Hmmm, I wonder where's Earfetish's / BloodredEuphoria's / Stoned_Slightly's entry? After all, time is nearly running out for our last three participants and, in Mr. Earfetish's case, he has knowledge of this threads existence. My outspoken pondering does provide me with a good excuse, on the bright side, to Bump the thread, which is a good thing in this case.
Only one day left. :O!
Hopefully the last people will get their entries in on time.

I'm coming up with something.
Fire spits up from a zit on the Earth
Clouds of smoke choke, strangling life
Lava rains from the sky, burns a scar into the surface
Carving a lake of fire
The planet softly breathes and gales rush through cities
Boats capsize and buildings crack
Ferocious hurricanes assault the living
She cries and rainwater floods the streets
She gulps, tidal waves smash into shorelines
Mankind stares in outright disbelief
As the passive creature falls asleep.
