how hard would it be for the son of god to prove himselves to the jews. i mean if god sent his son down (for the first time) obviously he wouldnt come down making a big scene because thats not the point is it. so what would make you guys bealive.
If i was the son of god (im not) what would i have to do?

The thing is, Jesus did many miracles to prove himself. Hell, he even brought a dead boy back to life, word of his miracles spread, but because the Pharisees were in power at the time, and because they didn't want the power and money go from them, they tried to silence Jesus. (The Pharisees were more a political and religious group, hence money and power were very important to them.) Furthermore, it's in the Beatitudes, "blessed are those who don't see but believe." It's the whole principle of faith. It's like me saying "I'm a doctor" and you saying "PROVE IT!" *stab self*. You should trust me on my word.

Wow... thats a loaded question... almost everyone. I'll give my view for what its worth as I am Jewish.
First off the topic:
No, we don't believe Jesus had any power whatsoever. He wasn't a prophet or the son of god. Just a guy who happened to exist and a lot of people liked. We believe he was at most, a rabbi. Which means teacher for those unaware.
Now the other question. What makes a person Jewish?
According to Jewish Law, if the mother is Jewish then the children are, no matter what they do. If they practice something else we still regard them as Jewish and so does God. If they decide to "come back" they don't convert, they are Jewish in our eyes no matter what.
Now that doesn't mean people can't convert. Its a hard and long proccess, but its still possible. There are some people as I have become awair of that don't accept these people as Jews, but my family and my congregation believes otherwise. Something you have to keep in mind about Jews is that there are different groups just like in Christianity. Reform is the one I belong to and we tend to be more leniant when it comes to certain things. After that there is conservative, orthodox, ultra orthodox/hasidic in order of "strictness" assending. So a lot of these things are up for interpretation. Some of the stricter groups don't regard me as being a faithful Jew because I'm reform.
Finally, there is a group that call themselves Messionic Jews. Most Jews don't regard them as Jewish because they believe in Jesus... but they think they are... thats probably the most gray area of all for us.

there are several signs that you woulkd have to do. also it says that messaih will be universly accepted. wich is one way we know it wasnt jesus. if the entire world believes someone is the messaih and li'l ol' me doesnt think he is. guess what, hes not.

Is it wrong that so many of my "jewish" friend celebrate Christmas because they are halflings? What about the jews that are down with JC?
