My dad comes home late at night, as usual, wondering what I do. I tell him I'm on NG, and he goes "What do you do on Newgrounds?" Then 30 minutes later, telling him what forums are, what flash is, etc. he asks "What's a web log? Is it like a profile?"
It just becomes annoying, trying to explain what NG is, when certain people don't understand other things, like what's flash.
Eventually, we got it straightened out. Anyone else here, who had relatives/friends, who had this sort of problem?

My cousin nick was looking at the naughty dress up dolls and his mom caught him so for about half a week everyone was in the state of "OMFG NO NG IT HAS TEH NUDITY AND ITS VERY NAUGHTY" then they forgot about it.
Not really, but that would probably happen if I told either of my parents that I go to Newgrounds and explain them about all sort of crap. It's a good thing I don't tell my parents about NG or I would get what happened to you and lots of other crap.
My Dad understands PCs, and the interwebses, so i'm alright.
however i dont really want him snooping about and seeing what i'm doing on the PC
that why i want my own, in my own room >:(

That's what I do, it just saves alot of time.
It's easier to just send them to the page when you're not there
and have them look around and read the FAQ.

Then again, I am probably a bit older than some of you others. But even when I was in highschool, the only shit I would have gotten was being up too late or something on a school night. Otherwise, I dont think id be put in that situation.
I can tell you... the potency of my annoyance would be high if it had of ever happened though.

Yeah, same with my dad. A few times, he has tried to nose into what I was doing on the internet and it's a good thing I always have a blank page to view on FireFox, so I switched to that as soon as I knew what he was trying to do. Another time, he asked what site I was on and I said it doesn't matter and we went on a bit and I stopped talking to try and avoid telling him about NG.
