Everytime I wish to vote on a review by chosing if it was helpful or not, no matter what I click on it choses both options eg. If I select 'yes it was helpful' then the no option is added on as well?
Why and can it be changed?

What do you mean "no opinion option"? you mean the ratio of people who found it helpful? If you say you did find it helpful, both sides will go up (Number of people found it helpful/all votes), but if you voted "no" just the "total votes" will go up.

As in if I vote on the yes option, the no count goes up as well even though I dodn't chose it. This is vice versa for when I chose no the yes count goes up

Try refreshing your browser or cleaning your cache out Tools > internet options > delete files Also try deleting your cookies too while you're there. Then try again and see if that worked.

Waitaminute. When you choose 'Yes, 'No' or 'Abusive', how much does the "?/? people found this review helpful" counter go up by on the right-hand number? This number will always increase regardless of your choice, but the left-hand number rises by one as well if you choose 'Yes'. Are you sure you're counting it right?

Oh i'll give an example:
say a movie started like this -
yes - 2 no - 1 abusive - n/a
If I was to click no ( for example ) this always happens
yes - no - 2 abusive n/a all the counters go up by one 3

I doubt microsoft would provide an answer to this particular problem. It's probably cookies (credit to whoever said it before me) because I use firefox and I've never had problem, or noticed them. It could also just be a chance happening that someone else is showing their opinion on a review, most likely to happen on turd of week because people use that to rack up whistle points. I don't know what else to sugget though.
