Server Update

Things are still wacky in certain areas, but the site is back on-line, running from a massive new server cluster. When it first came back on-line, it was running like a bullet for me. It seems to have slowed down more now, but these are also peak hours, so I'm not used to the site running at all during this time of day. :)

So time to be VERY CRITICAL. Don't kiss butt, don't be too mean... Just compare the site to how it normally performs during the time of day you are visiting. How is the site running for you compared to how it historically runs?

Server is going great. Alot faster than yesterday I was on. Unless for some reason theres no one on, I see no problem. Its running very fast.

Way faster than be4... normally, at that time of the day, id have to wait 30 seconds for the portal to load... now it was about 3 seconds. Great stuff!

i never really had huge problems with it because of my time zone but it is pretty fast!

everything seems to be loading at the same speed as usual, i have a really slow connection though, so it's probably just me. but today i haven't received any 'server under extreme load' messages, good job tom.

A lot faster. Does the BBS have its own server? It runs pretty slow some times.

Its going MUCH Faster. This is the usually the time of day when the site won't function at all.

I'm not going to bullshit you, i don't see much a change at all. It almost seems a bit slower. But nope it doesn't seem any different.

i'd say its about 2-3 times faster at loading than usual, still a little slow i guess. but hey, i live the UK with a 56k dial-up so its gonna be pretty slow anyway - The upgrade was definitely worth it.

it runs good tom it is faster but the bbs is a bit slower i think when is the portal coming back online and the user profiles?

I ran the site to see how it was progressing. It seems to be slow at first (like normally) but then the rest of the site loaded in a "flash". The time for me is currently just after 5 PM Central US. That IS a peak time. Normally I would have to leave and come back later so I have to say, so far so good!

much better, the pages load so much faster, i don't see much difference on load time for larger movies though, could just be my connection.

Much, better! or so it seems... It was usually pretty good before, but during some peak hours it would take up to a minute to load the portal and other stuff.. Seems much better now, nice work.
