My family is horrible with it too, my brother is friends with neo-nazis

It's not just ethnics, every side is doing it.
In this case the press made it much much worse and as usual the

I'm disgusted at how the bogans reacted to this. I know what the Lebonese did was wrong at the start, but they should have let the police deal with it, not come in a massive mob and bash anyone who looked ethnic. But what's worse is they attack paramedics whom were just trying to go their job.

I agree that those people shouldn't have beat up those cops and Arab people, but you also have to take under consideration that most of them were pissed off their faces. If I were drunk, I'd probably be more motivated to beat up people due to ethnic background because alcohol does, after all, poison the mind.

This isn't anything new in Australia either. I remember when the English first came, they pretty much killed most of the Aboriginies and forced the rest into slavery. And how about this... "White Australia". This country used to be white only for the longest time until the law was ousted. It doesn't seem like it, but Australia has a history of racism. So since the Aborigines were here first, the guy who had written on his back "we grew here, you flew here" was acting like a total douche. But then, every white person at the riot was.

What they should've done was let the police deal with the two who beat up the cop. Hell, I haven't seen any evidence of that cop being white at all (yet). And if one cop was able to hold off so many people with only a batton and a can of mace whilst protecting two Arabic people, he does deserve a medal.

1. I dont think you can compare the settelment of australia with this because These 'riots' (for lack of a better word) were started by an attack on a white lifeguard, making these 'riots' racially fuelled. When australia was setteled by the british they did what any conquering nation would do.
