Americans have hated lawyers for years, even since colonial times. Even jolly old Ben Franklin hated lawyers.

This entire topic is yet another reason to hate dumbfuck liberals who actually support such lawsuit craze, and oppose the intelligent idea of tort reform, proposed by the right.

A Texan woman was awarded $780,000 after she sued a furniture store. She sued because she tripped and fell over a child running amok in the store. Surprisingly, she won the case, even though the child was her own.

This one is false.

A student attending a college in Idaho fell from his window while mooning a friend. The student then sued the college, claiming that it had not provided adequate information about the dangers of upper-story windows.

This one supposedly happened at my school, I just sent an email to my wife to ask her boss if she knows anything about it.

That would explain the strict window policy at the U of I, $100 for removing your screen and $10 for ever item you drop. I wonder if they would have charged that guy $10...

Ok, apparently people here fall out of windows all the time. (big drinking school) My wife's boss said that year two people actually fell out of windows and the guy did try to sue. He was unsuccessful but when the University was constructing new dorms a couple of years ago they seriously considered putting warning signs next to the windows.

A few months ago in on the frats a drunken frat guy woke up in the lawn to find several broken and bruised parts in his ass. His last memory was of climbing onto his top bunk on the third floor of his house. It is speculated that he hopped out of bed on the wrong side and and somehow toppled out of the open window. There are no lawsuits planned to my knowledge but the fraternaty is considering placing bars over the windows.
