newgrounds memories

I noticed that lots of people have memories of newgrounds...like the first time they ever went on newgrounds..... I remember my one we were in class in 1999 with macs and there were like 10 kids crouded around watching this movie on newgrounds. We thoguht we were so cool and we all got detentions for going on 'naughty sites'........what is everybvodys first or best newrgounds experience?

This oldschool NG movie that was based on Titantic. Leondardo DeCaprio let whats-her-face fall to her death, and he ran away from the boat really funny.

mmmmm, I remember the first movie I ever saw on newgrounds: it was an assasin mission to kill pikachu, it brought tears to my eyes, from the moment I saw it I knew I had found a site I would just keep coming back, no matter what. I made it my homepage right away.
I didn't got an account untill later though, wish I had done it earlier.

Oh yeah! That was the first thing I also saw on NG in October 1999!

It was when I started hating Pokemon and I found that hella funny.

After that, I forgot all about Newgrounds and then returned to see more Pokemon death stuff.

I wish I could register back in the day. Probably June 2000 - after my 13th B-Day (My B-Day is May 29th).

Well, I don't hate pokemon, actually, I used to play it a lot, just because it was an RPG (I love rpgs), I just hated that gay pikachu, but I still find it very funny to kill or humiliate any of them.

When I viewed my first two movies in school.

A kid in my class did a project using Graveyard Shift and Chinese restaurant. I asked him where he got them (he hates me) and he finally got annoied and told me. Then I came here and watched them.

an early memory of mine is being over at one of my friends places, we'd sit at the comp and watch stuff on the assassin page like kill bill gates and stuff like that. It was fun. This was back in late 2000, then I got my 1st comp in january so I could visit whenever I wanted. didn't sign up for about another 3 weeks though.

Yeah... the guys crowding around you when you go to a good movie or game - this always happened in my class - not only with me. I liked memories of me playing neat games on this site a long time ago - 2-3 yrs back when I was in junior high. Newgrounds changed so much - it's amazing, but I still liked it when it was crappier back then. The upgrades made the whole thing so big - now it's so much better. This is one of my favorite sites now, and even if I stop going here, I'd still remember it.

Yeah - I registered for an account, but left it for 3 years - now I'm on a pretty low level cuz I didn't deposit the experience points before (I only came here to watch movies and to play games before, not caring about my Newgrounds Gold account), and only started now.

I LOVED the ANTIPOKEMON SECTION. I still have the URL FOR THE OLD API PAGE (when Newground only had a little more than 200 flash entries)! CLICK HERE TO GO TO IT.

Same here, with the account thing I mean. My favorite memory is when I first came here and this site was still quite small content wise, and Pico had just come out and Assasin was quite a great waste of time...wasting time is cool...

Mario twins made me start to learn flash. Coinbird made me really learn it. Coinbird isnt on NG though, its at www.coinbird.com if you care. When i first saw Mario Twins it was the greatest thing for about a month. and all my friends know about it and the noises became a joke 'woop-dido' 'shigity shigity shwar' great stuff

My favorite memories are when the portal was non aotomated and the bbs was in beta testing and there were no links to it only a hidden address and adam bomb kept posting a sig pic that was a page long along with this cartoon about dicks gettin cut off dim sum or something or other.

I was doing a search for a site called "Bert is evil" which had all kinds of incriminating photos of Bert from Sesame street Assasinating Kennedy, standing next to Hitler... When I did the search Assasins came up as a match and I read the description. I went to the site for a couple of weeks before figuring out what grounds gold was. That's when I got my account. Ah such memories.
