I most definitely perfer rock because musically and lyrically rap does not appeal to me. I think rock music expresses emotions more truely and faithfully. I do like some rap, but it's mostly just because it's fun to listen to. Most of the rock music I listen to helps me release emotions and vent anger. Staind is very good for releasing emotions, and probably the best album for someone in a depressive mood is "Razorblade Suticase" by Bush which describes depression very well.
I also like a lot of electronic music, espically industrial. I love Stabbing Westward and Nine Inch Nails. They express emotiions and rock out better than just about any regular band.
People who listen to "hip-hop" shit like ICP are just trying to fit in. ICP sucks a lot of ass, and their 'fans' are all just trying to be cool. You won't be able to convince me otherwise.
But many people don't need release, or release for intense dark emotions, so they listen to pop crap (its not music, just manufactured sound) or rap. Rap is legitimate music, I hate people who say it isn't, it's just that most of us don't hear the good stuff and just hear the crap about money and hos, although I happen to like Ludacris a lot. A lot just doesn't have as much appeal to me.
I wonder if there is anyone who like country here? HA HA HA HA!!
everywhere I go I see your face and every sound I hear is the sound of your voice why are you haunting me? why are you haunting me, why can't I let you go?
