newgrounds musician front page list

This is a thread to let everyone know who the 2 featured newgrounds audio artists are - every day - as it changes daily.

This way they can get the attention they deserve from us as well - as not all of us even visit the front page - I currently still can't in internet explorer as my browser crashes every time for some reason.

Just put the date and the 2 musician's names - nad maybe the links to their songs :P

if this is blocked - well there really is no reason for this thread to be blocked - it applies to newgrounds - it applies to musicians, to audio - to us.

I think they are probably randomly chosen songs..
Would be a good idea if the Songs on the frontpage could change automatically after a certain amount of unique visitors

that song has gotten more than 600 dl´s so far... ill post again when its removed, to see how many dls one might expect... we could try usig this thread to see what inpact being on the frontpage really have?!

Yeah. Problem is, there are so many tracks on the AP nowadays, it's probably better if they're picked out manually, to avoid the real dross getting showcased.

Yes Denvish keep selecting them and if you get tired make someone else do it. If it goes random then crap will enter front page and it wont be very good....

Even if you make a thing that only scores of 4 and above make it there are still songs that have that score and are total shit...

There's no limit on age. Basically, when I select them, I'll probably select one from an 'established' artist, with at least one gold or platinum track, and one from a musician who I feel deserves some exposure. Rucklo got it yesterday because he's been partly responsible for helping the AP get some more recognition, and Jon got it today because he's been helpful in emailing me with links to idiotic, spammy, and lock-worthy topics in the AF - since I can't spare a great deal of time or energy to be in here myself.

Do you have a few songs stored away for the upcoming days or you just pick them when it is the time?

For the record, my song I Like Machines (ah yeah, gotta link it </shameless advertisement> ^^ ) got about 670dl´s from being on the frontpage for one day.
Thats more dl´s than it even had before (before; about 480)! And then probably many ppl didnt download it, so it reached out to maaany ppl indeed! It went both gold and platinum in one day :D

The score jumped up and down a little, but stayed on allmost the same as it was before. And it recived two reviews. With that amount of dl, i´d expect more, actually, but i suppose many ppl who dont care about reviewing audio downloaded...

Congrats JonH2O and b0unc3 for getting it today, and thanx alot, Denvish, for putting me up there yesterday!!

Did u guys see that for a while, me and b0unc3 were at the frontpage together. Ya know what that meant? there were swedish pwnage of the audio fp for a while :)

Excellent! I have just been informed of my position as 5th on the weekly list by a reviewer, its brilliant. While I haven't seen the kind of downloads that Rucklo has, Im still chuffed to be up there at all. I must've fallen under Dervish's category of "musician who deserves exposure". If that's the case, then I must thank you Dervish; Im a happy man today :). Cheers guys.

also I agree with you to an extent gore - fortunately they change it daily so there isnt really any time for it to sink in permanently - its a very good way to do it ^^

Well, I'll do my best to try to make more songs. pretty busy with school & DDR/ITG atm.
I couldn;t make any new songs fort a while.. dunnow.. my faith in myt music just dropped down for a long while.. but it's starting tocome back =] .. expect some more very soon ^^

Hey Paragon, I don't think it's that people don't like you personally, they are just jealous bastards who wanna get recognition. Luckily though, you have a shitload of good fans who support you. It's just a shame that the people who download it don't vote on it. People should be made to vote on songs before they download em.

Yeah, usually it takes a long while before the scores are "equalized" to a more reasonable score, due to the fact not many ppl actually votes on the audio here. And when they do, many times it IS zeroed, and actually, unjust five´s again.

It will be interesting to see what effect the frontpage attention will do to the attention of the weekly top 5 and the weekly featured author.

Whats happening is that all the forum regulars recognise that paragon makes kicass music, but in reality there are people as good, if not better about. Noobs get the wrong idea just because he has music on the portal front page, and male love-posts, which get irritating, so they get flamed and therefore make out they hate paragon because if they say they love him, they get flamed.

Or we're jealous. one of the two.
